Wireless does NOT work in the rooms. budget and a bit of a lottery. Some rooms were ok and some were pretty tired. But the staff were attentive regardless of "laos time" which is considerably slower than its neighbours.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Dont attempt to paddle UPstream on the river. If your not going to do the river you will miss out.

Poor service of the front desk staff.. When I reached the hotel, they not even know that I already booked the hotel even after I provide them my name. And they still need to call somebody to double confirm. It's not like other hotel. Most of the hotel already prepared upfront the list of the customer and waiting for the customer to come. No wifi at the room. The wifi only available at lobby but with poor network. The room is very small and slightly smelly. The hotel not allow people to wear the shoes in the hotel but the passage to the hotel is not that clean and slightly sticky.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is few cave near by which is good to visit.

great view shame about noise

its one of the places the free tuk tuks from the bus station drop you at, so if not young or you can sleep through anything its your hotel
friendly staff,beautiful view down the main street to the mountains,good spot to meet fellow travellers on the balconys,clean enough rooms for the price,hot water but the noise from doors slamming & people screaming,music blaring(9pm-4am) done my head in
