The room was very good. Clean with a comfy bed and a big hot shower.
The TV in the room didnt work and the air conditioning unit was noisey.
On arrival we were greated by two members of staff, although they were trying to be helpful it was hard work. The room didnt have a safe, so we asked reception to look after our personal belongings, this seemed to be a huge problem!! which didn't fill us with much confidence. When we asked for our bits from the safe later on that day, someone had the key and we couldnt access our belongings!! had to wait until the morning.
The breakfast was ok but a limited choice.

The hotel is nicely decorated, and very near to the city center, within walking distance. The hotel also procide motorcycle rental service and you don't have to leave your passport, which is great. The breakfast is also nice but nothing special. Good enough to get you going for the day. Overall, very satisfactory.

Good location, Large Rooms, Friendly Staff
We booked a superior room at the Avalon after 2 weeks in Northern Laos where we had had only basic comforts. The fact that the room had a huge bath in the bedroom, apart from a separate shower room, was therefore a huge draw. We were not disappointed. The hotel was modern, quiet and centrally located. Staff were all friendly and very helpful.
