Boutique, great views of the Mekong, friendly staff and always having a tuk-tuk or a taxi standby. Great location and quiet. Although at times neighboring construction of new hotels gets a little annoying.
Air conditioning is horrible. It's hot in Laos of course, but at the very least there should be good maintenance of the aircon. Breakfast selection is too minimal.
You get what you pay for.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't ever go to the Papaya Spa. Their therapists are rough, unprofessional, and too expensive. Place is a mess, hot with no good working air conditioning, and gave a cut on my mom's nose whilst doing a facial. Horrible place.

Good rooms, helpful staff and owner.
Location - pot-holed dirt road for last 300 metres.
The hotel staff and owner/manager were very helpful, organising transport, etc. - no charge. The room was clean and had everything we expected. Breakfast at the restaurant was good - standard cereal, toast, fruit plate, juice, coffee. The hotel was great except it was located 300 metres down at the end of an awful pot-holed dirt road, it was however right on the bank of the Mekong.
Travel tip : Eating is cheap in Vientiane but splurge one night by paying a bit more at Makphet restaurant run by Friends International and staffed almost completely by homeless youths in training. The food is superb, but the young kids will impress you most of all. Do not miss.

Very nicely appointed and hospitable guest house/boutique hotel. Clean and attractive rooms. Peaceful location overlooking the Mekong, not too far from town centre. Very helpful staff and owner Gordon.
Only con was a problem with mosquitos in the ground floor room for the first two nights.
An excellent guest house, peaceful location, clean and very well maintained, very nice bathrooms and well decorated bedrooms are in excellent condition. The only negative was the ground floor bedroom had a problem with mosquitoes which was not the case when I stayed here before in a first floor superior bedroom.

Quaint and creatively designed rooms with added bonuses such as tea making facilities. Nice position overlooking the Mekong and helpful staff.
Internet access would have been appreciated.
Perfectly positioned hotel close to restaurants and with also marvelous views onto the river esp at sunrise and sunset. Reasonable breakfast was appreciated with all staff friendly and obliging.

Spacious rooms. Really tastefull breakfast. Friendly and helpfull staff.
If i have to mention something, then maybe it's the dirtroad (after it's been raining) the last couple of 100 metres to the hotel.
We had an absolutely lovely stay. Within 10 to 15 minutes you walk to the center of Vientiane.
Friendly and helpfull staff, clean rooms and a nice big bed.
Reccommended!

Friendly and hospitable atmosphere, cozy rooms (with crazy colors), a lot of light from big windows, I enjoyed to stay there!
Short distance to the city center and the airport. Quiet and nice.
No swimming pool - but short distance to Mekong river :-).
My first impression was that this was a strange place, with pastel colours and a little bit shaky stairs. But from then on I felt like coming home because the staff was very friendly and the place has this atmosphere you just have to experience to understand. Rooms with a lot of air and light. I'll be back!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Mekong river on the other side of the street. The city center just a short walk away and the many temples and interesting things to see in Vientiane just a short tuk-tuk ride away.

Friendly and service minded staff, lovely room, and peaceful scenery with Mekong river view.
Bad road condition in front of the hotel.
Staying at Beau Rivage for 4 days was superb. I really love the hotel's style with boutique decoration. Hotel is of a small size but really peaceful to stay at. Having such a great view of Mekong river and surrounded by local life of Laos is a great expreriences for visitors. Talking about staff here, they are very friendly with service mind as Laotians are. You can feel warm hospitality with full convenience provided. Going to town from here is not too far to walk with the Mekong river view along the way.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Local lifestyle of Laotians. Good view of the Mekong River.

The location is great, a nice walk by the river to the small hub of activity along Fa Ngum, Samsenthai and Setthathirat. Small, comfy hotel that combines quiet seclusion with fast-paced technology - Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the hotel and the restaurant next door. The staff is very polite and warm - that's just Lao culture, perhaps. The restaurant across from the hotel serves some mean Tam Maak Hung, the ever popular spicy papaya salad.

modern building facing the river, very special
a bit 'far from the center
I've been to the Beau Rivage hotel for three nights, I must say that the hotel is clean and structurally new, the rooms are spacious and all different from each other treated in detail and very artistic .. The hotel dense moped, I recommend to all to turn freely without tiring too (the hotel is a bit far from the center ..) view of the river is very beautiful, have a cocktail at sunset is the top.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 've rented a motorbike

Feel you can enjoy the trip. Front. Location. Clean. Ceiling fans.
Agoda different direction because of the map, TADORITSUKENAI easily.
The room is decorated in bold and harmonious, you can enjoy the travel mood. SUSA is a friendly reception and quality reminiscent of a small house in Europe, her husband, and her conversational女将. Situated on the Mekong River, the friendly shade and unpaved roads to go out for a jog. Good atmosphere in the dining pavilion (Rating not eat regularly and you will). Also be suitable for longer stays. Agoda for dissatisfaction with the only difference is the direction of the map was to歩KI回TTA in the sun with the luggage.
Travel tip : Tuku-tuku to Parkview in乗RI付KETA famous. According to Agoda Old maps no one walked the few blocks it. The Parkview AGUNE asked to find. Agoda a voucher of the hotel is not the TEL. I finally did get in touch with the phone book looking for staff. TSUKIATATTA be just right to the edge of the Mekong River, Novotel Parkview.
