Great Riverside Location

We stayed at this hotel for a few days whilst organising Thai visas through the consulate in Vientiane. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive and the complimentary breakfast selection was a bonus. The room was large and well maintained, although the furniture is a little tired. Housekeeping did an exception job every day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be sure to book to do the Loas Experience cooking class with Nook - it's a really fun way to get to know more about local cuisine. Bookings can be made through the Full Moon Cafe, which is directly opposite the Best Western.

surprisingly good little hotel

Was very easy to walk to all places of interest and restaurants . We were a small group of family and friends and we enjoyed our trip to Vientiane very much. The rooms facing the streets are better than those facing the other way. Some rooms gave some problems with the plumbing and ventilation in the bathrooms but hotel was generally fine.
Shopping Tip:
The French bakeries there have great pastries .

Hotel was in a great location, clean, and the service good. However, from my experience traveling in Asia I think the price was a little high for the value. Breakfast was pretty mediocre, no view from our room, and number of cable channels limited. There are many places to stay in the area so I think a better value can be found.

Everything is perfect except the airport pickup. My last visit was good but this time is not. Even I called to confirm before my trip and called again 3 times at the airport. I waited at least 1 hour even only few minutes between hotel and the airport.

Very good location right in front of night market and all restaurants

hotel is clean and breakfast is good. pool was nice and refreshing but jacuzzi bit is not really warm. all in all pool area little worn down and overlooked by brick building walls but rest of the hotel is quite ok. good choice if you want to be central.
a bit expensive for what it is but this was the only one we could find which had a pool.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Right in from of night market. Tuk Tuk can take you anywhere but do not pay for then 20000 kip.

Fantastic location

the hotel was in a perfect location, close to the mekong, shops, and lovely restaurants and coffee shops. the pool area was under refurbishment while we were there so i am looking forward to seeing this upgrade completed as it is rare to find a reasonable hotel with a pool in vientiane. will definately be staying there again.
Restaurant Tip:
Good food across the road at Sticky Fingers and the Full Moon. Awesome Pizza just down the road from them (opp side of road from hotel, just cant remember the name of the restaurant!! It has an outside area at the front and an inside area. It looks very upmarket and their pizzas are but prices are amazing.

good rooms, great location
probably the sofest beds in Laos, great area, staff friendly,

i am already planning another stay at this hotel. rooms were nice and clean and good size. pool is a little run down and could use some touch ups but clean and refreshing. was impressed with breafast as you get to order it fresh, no yukky buffets,close to everything.
Shopping Tip:
blue moon over the road sells movies and music straight to a hard drive. and have great buffalo wings.

Nice Hotel close to the River

Stayed here for three nights. Nice enough place to stay while exploring Vientiane. It wasn't very busy when I stayed and the hotel was renovating the pool. Breakfast was good, but this was all I ate at the restaurant. Some of the restaurants nearby on the same street are quite good. There is a very good Italian restaurant just down the road in front of the temple.
