Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Great value, location can be managed.
Cheap, large comfortable room, hot water

This is great budget accomodation. The room is very nice, especially for the money, with a large bathroom that has all the hot water you want.
It's cheap because the location is pretty poor. It's a good 30 minute walk from the river where all of the restaurants and nightlife is. There's nothing to do around the hotel, the restaurant was pretty poor, and it seemed like some of the other local restaurants wouldn't even serve a white person. The location can be managed though, the staff will drive you to the riverside at any time at no cost, and just get them to give you a business card and you can get a tuk-tuk back for less than $2. Walking is also an option but make sure you don't get lost, as you won't be able to ask for directions. Simplest route is along "Chao San Road" most of the way.

Little remote, but excellent and friendly staff
clean new room, breakfast, friendly and helpful staff
7.7
This hotel is not located near the city center and it does take a bit of an effort to get to the main part of the city, but the friendly and helpful staff more than make up for this. The owner will arrange transportation for you into the center, and gave us a ride every day without charge. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent.

We stayed here for about one night (me and a friend) we had to leave at 5 in the morning to catch an early flight to Siem Reap. We had a horrible time trying to find our way to the hotel since its kind of new and not every tuktuk driver knows how to work a map it appears. When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised, it looked really fancy for how much it costs. Also the manager him self greeted us and once we told him it was hard to find, he told us he has a shuttle service, not just from the airport or busstation, but anywhere in town. So if you plan to go to this hotel, just phone the hotel and they will pick you up! We asked the manager if he could arrange a tuktuk to bring us to the airport at night and he instantly offered to bring us for free, which he acctually did, with his own car. a great guy! So for a nice luxurious stay in Vientiane I recommend this hotel, just keep the number at hand.

best room of our vacation
hugh room, good ac, hottest shower in asia
8.7
this place is in the middle of nowhere. but, if you want to treat yourself to a luxury hotel after nothing but hostels and guesthouses, this is the place you are looking for.
we checked in early and they let us in at 8am. the room was enormous and had a balcony. the bed was nice and comfortable, the shower was super hot, and it was a very quiet place to relax and catch up on some sleep. they offer transfer into town right by the night market for $1.50 per person (round trip).
great hotel and highly recommended!
Restaurant Tip:
Not many restaurants around but there is a fridge, so stock up if you're not willing to make a trek out. The hotel does have a very cheap restaurant and the food is decent.

We enjoyed our stay at Chaleunehoung hotel. The room was large and clean and the breakfast good. Its abit out of town but an interesting 20-30min walk to the centre. The staff are happy to arrange drop off in town for free when ever you need it and tuktuk back is only about $3. The owner and his family are happy to give out local information.

Helpfull staff but location not perfect.
Rooms clean and staff helpfull.
7.3
This hotel is a little too far from the town but the staff are ready to give a free lift whenever possible at short notice.
No free breackfast unlike many other hotels in the city but one can opt for the hotel buffet or they will cook to order at very reasoable prices. (average about £2 per. meal ). We stayed on the first floor and it seamed to be the basecamp for the cleaning staff that were very vocal and not conciderate of anyone that was not awake at 7 a.m. I had to open my door and make them aware of my dissaproval on one occation which seemed to work.
All in all not an unpleasant stay but I think I would choose a different location next time, somewhere nearer the river as it is not an especially noisy city.

Good service, good food, large and clean room. We stay 5 days and we enjoy . So it is around 20 minutes walking to the city center.
