Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean with a room safe.
Room floor very slippery, so take care after showering.
A nice clean relatively new Hotel with English speaking professional staff. Rooms are bright and airy but can be darkened with heavy curtains for daytime sleeping. Amenities are adequate with good water pressure and hot water in shower and bath. Beds are supplied with "hard" pillows but "soft" pillows will be supplied at request.
Breakfast (0600-1000hrs) is very basic but is included.
The location is excelent for restaurants, bars, Embassies and bus station and only a short walk to the Mekong River area.

The Hotel is new and clean and close to city center
The hotel is new with clean rooms and fuctioning facilities. The wireless Internet is quite ok, although there were interruptions sometimes and the speed is no very high. Breakfast was buffet type quite ok, traditional omelet, coffee, toast + some more local food available.
Situation is good close to city center about 200 meters from Nam Phu.

Central, reasonable cost, stylish rooms, clean.
Good coffee at breakfast
Remember to ask for the soft pillow on the bed!
The City Inn is so central that many of Vientiane's sights are walkable from the hotel. The room we stayed in was both spacious and stylish with a large bathroom containing a bath and separate shower. The bed was comfortable but we did not see the "request a soft pillow" notice until the last morning! I would also like the choice of a lighter bed cover instead of a heavyish duvet. The rooms were kept sparkling clean.
The staff were helpful and professional.
Breakfast was fine with the coffee being especially good.
Altogether, the City Inn is a great choice to stay in Vientiane.
Travel tip : The choice of food and the cost of eating in Vientiane is quite remarkable for the city's size.Do try Lao food ( the Soukvemain near That Dam is really good ) as well as French food and the excellent cafes/ bakeries. Here you will find the best French bread east of France!
