Rooms not cleaned properly
The hotel is worn down and needs a thorough maintenance job. Our room was not cleaned properly when we arrived. As a proof of this there were condoms (unused!) left by previous hotel guests in the room which had not been taken away by the room maids. The bathroom was dirty and there were huge amounts of dust hanging down from the ceiling inside the room.
The pool in itself was nice, but the pool area lacked sunbeds (only chairs available) and there were nobody present to man the pool bar, which was closed, and to hand out towels. We had to ask for towels in the reception as the cleaning lady did not speak English well enough to understand what we were asking for.
The hotel restaurant is expensive and the food is bad. You get much better food by the river side in Vientiane city center.
The hotel is located far outside the city (approx. 8 kilometers) and a tuk tuk ride cost around USD 5-7 depending. However, we do not complain about the location as we deliberately chose to stay outside the city to have some relaxation by the pool.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is not really much to see in Vientiane. We would rather spend more time in Luang Prabang or other nice places in Laos.

korean food, big rooms, nice swimming pool
7 km far from the centre, no desk chairs at the pool ...
the stuff was very friendly, the breakfast was very special and good. the prices were normal. the hotel is a famous place for wedding parties and other big family parties in Vientiane. the lobby was great in combination from traditional and modern style. during our stay, there were only 5 people in this very big hotel.

The hotel is quiet - nothing will disturb your morning sleep. Maybe because the hotel is empty? I virtually have seen no people in the restaurant or corridors...
Quite dirty rooms, worn bedsheets and towels, poor breakfasts and food in general, plus inconvenient location.
The worst thing in the hotel is that the rooms are dirty! You can find a lot of other people's hair on the floor in both the bathroom and bedroom. Some (washable) stains on the flour add to the bad impression.
The breakfasts are poor and you have to wait some 5 or 10 minutes before the food is brought to you by a waiter. I also had a lunch in the hotel restaurant - it was more than unimpressive.
The location is also quite inconvenient - the hotel is virtually outside the city and it takes some 15 minutes to get there by car from the downtown. There are no decent restaurants around the hotel so you need to take quite a long journey if you want to eat outside the hotel.
The quietness of the hotel is probably the only advantage of staying over there.
I did not pay much for the hotel but it is is not worth the money.
Travel tip : All places a tourist may need are located quite far away from the hotel...
