The hotel is pretty basic - clean, affordable and comfortable but doesn't have much character. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful but don't seem to know what they are doing. We had some confusion when we tried to check out, as the clerk didn't understand that we had already paid using an Agoda voucher (he had the voucher in his hand but didn't know what he was looking at). Make sure you don't pay twice - I read a review about another hotel in Laos that said the guest spent several months trying to get re-imbursed after having a similar problem!

- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Any western food that we had was average, but all of the Laos food was excellent and very affordable. Tuk-tuks can be a real rip off in Vientiane - it's a small city, better to walk unless you're going on a trip to a site outside of the city center.
