staff were friendly, food at in house restaurant was good, and the nice swimming pool was good to relax by.
it takes approx 20mins walk to city
This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. Once again, the clientele were mainly western people, mainly 30+ business types - and it seems like they were doing business/meetings as well. Again, my main concern were the mosquitos that came from nearby areas at night - but I used the mosquito netting that was provided around the bed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the main food/market is about 10mins walk and the city centre is a furhter 10-15 mins walk.

Friendly staff, quality in house restaurant, nice swimming pool to relax by.
I found my stay to be relaxing. I was lucky to find the shuttle bus driver at the airport - he took me back to hotel for free. Reception was friendly, and room was high quality. The clientele were mainly western people, mainly 30+ business types - and it seems like they were doing business/meetings as well. My only concern were the mosquitos that came from nearby areas at night - but I used the mosquito netting that was provided around the bed.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel has free wireless internet, but the speed is not super-fast, and is not great for using skype.

The Green Park hotel proved to be a good choice for those wanting to relax a bit away from the main part of town. The swimming pool was wonderful and the staff were both friendly and helpful.
There was a bit of a technical problem with the water in the bath/shower leaking on the sides and into the entrance wall. Also a bit of confusion regarding the shuttle bus. It does not run regularly:however, the hotel was willing to take us into the main town area gratis upon request.
Overall, our two days at the Green Boutique Hotel were smooth and comfortable. We enjoyed the well maintained gardens and whenever we had a problem , the staff was quick and eager to find a solution. There was only one computer available to guests, but the manager let me use his computer when the other one was in use. The breakfast buffet is ample and in a calm relaxing setting.

Free shuttle bus into town, very nice breakfast in the morning, very good personal and friendly service, nice ambience especially in the pool area. Free wireless and internet room was also handy. A shame about the city though, vientiane doesn't have very much to offer. Only the gateway into Thailand. Happy to of stayed at green park and would happily return if our travels saw us back in the area.

Large rooms, very, very quiet location. Close enough to city center without the congestion or noise. The dining area outside on the upper deck was great. Food very nice; fresh and well prepared. Pool was a refreshing delight and very scenic.
I almost never say this but I'm not sure there was anything I would change, except perhaps a few more shuttle rides to town. Food, drinks, staff, the overall environment were just all too nice, wishes I was back there now. Odd water pressure issue in the shower, but not sure that is the hotels troubles as much as general conditions in the area.
Vientiane is not a large city, so though this hotel looks outside of town a bit it was still nicely located to access sightseeing areas and was extremely peaceful. We had a wonderfully large room over looking the river on one side the pool/reflecting pound on the other. Staff were all very friendly and we look forward to going back. (which we did by the way on our way out oif the country we needed an overnight stop and returned to our same wonderful room). Large rooms, very, very quiet location. Close enough to city center without the congestion or noise. The dining area outside on the upper deck was great. Food very nice; fresh and well prepared. Pool was a refreshing delight and very scenic.
Restaurant Tip : The National Museum was just a few blocks away. Closed for lunch we headed across the street to a packed restaurant that served the most amazing Pho Bo. No one spoke english but ordering was easy and the food fantastic-- a big lunch for just a couple of dollars.

new hotel
great service, pool etc.
amazing room
breakfast average
internet slow
stayed in this hotel for one night. Staff super friendly. Check-in was quick, rooms were super- very stylish etc. Breakfast was average but no issues with it. Pool was excellent and quite- when we were there no one was there. Location was a little out of the city but we saw this as a huge positive. Overall we would highly recomend this hotel and would come back

Quiet, beautiful garden, lovely staff......very relaxing
This was our second stay at the Green Park and it was every bit as good as the first one a year ago. The garden is lovely, the rooms very comfortable and the place serene and quietly elegant. Breakfast was good and the pool was wonderful after a hot day in town. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you turn right out of the hotel it is only about a 15 minute walk (not even) to the Talaat Sao (Vientiane's main market)

Quiet, but still close to city center. Very welcoming and supporting staff. Great architecture. Good beds. First class breakfast buffet.
Air condition a bit noisy. Restaurant a bit expensive.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week-end. The stay was absolutely perfect, from check in to check out. The only problem was that I used the hotel's web page to ask for pick up at the airport. They never received this message, so we had to use taxi to the hotel. However, the taxi driver became our driver for the next two days. At check-in was we greeted with a welcome drink and lots of warm smiles. The room was clean and of good size. This is the first hotel I have stayed in that has two pair of slippers for the guests: On pair for indoor and one pair for outdoor use. The restaurant is very good, but the prices are reletively high, so I called the reception for the shuttle to the city center. They offered to bring us there immediately, because the driver was available. We agreed pickup time with the driver, and he arrived on the second. We slept very well, and the breakfast buffet was first class. All in all, a perfect stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Across the street is a center for disabled people, which many are disabled by cluster bombs from the Vietnam war. A very informative museum explains the problems the people still are facing after more than 500,000 bombing sorties over the country 40 years ago.

Hotel guys were polite. the room was spacious, clean, quiet. Especially garden was beautiful. Good Breakfast (location, and food selection).
Internet. Even WiFi was ready, accessibility was not good. Special DNS that has been provided from this hotel was required. I guess it didn't depend on this hotel. Lao Gov might restrict its accessibility. And, Thai Cell-phone carrear radio didn't come into the room. You can't connect to Thai carrear in the room.
Fully satisfied. Even the rate was a bit expensive, very good cost-performance. well trained employees, clean room, well treated garden, beautiful flowers satisfy you. I think this resort style hotel is suite for couples, women should be satisfied.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel front guy can communicate using Japanese. And hotel has transporter, you can get center of Vientiane by hotel transporter.

Great pool, rooms, free internet, free bus to city center
The staff and facilities at this hotel are outstanding. It is not cheap but well worth the small amount extra. It is located about 2 km from the city center but the local large shopping centre is only a short walk away and there is a large water park (slides etc) about 200 metre down the road.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Book these a one of the local agencies, negotiate with the took took drivers.

Decent rooms, 3 mins in a tuk tuk from town, clean, friendly staff.
Slow computers if they are working and the sun did not shine!
Nice hotel with everything you need, good breakfast and lovely pool. All very smart and the staff are very helpful. It has regular shuttles (every hour I think) until 10. We had a nice 2 days there and wish the sun was out but apart from that very happy. It is far enough from noise but only minutes away from all you need, quiet and safe.
Restaurant Tip : Near the fountain there is la cave des chateux, they do a set meal with the steak on the bbq, half the price of a normal steak and cooked really well. Also carraffes of red are a lot cheaper than buying it per bottle and it was a decent red. Good food and service.

This hotel is like entering another world yet keeps the feeling the Lao culture. It is clean, well thought out, and above all friendly.
It was a slightly awkward access to the swimming pool, and the buffet breakfast was just OK (compared to everything else being awesome)
I originally wanted to book into the Setta Palace, but they didn't have a king size room available. I wanted something very special for our 18th wedding anniversary. Well, from the outset, this place was perfect for that kind of romantic getaway. The staff were friendly, the room is private, yet without a lovely outlook. The generous sized bath tubs have their own garden to look out on in privacy. The swimming pool is open until late. Also, somehow, the noisy motor scooter din did not enter and spoil the quiet atmosphere of this place. I would defintely go back, and I have been telling my friends about it since staying there.
Restaurant Tip : There is a Joma Cafe nearby that serves awesome desserts and breakfasts.

Excellent staff, Great rooms, Nice breakfast.
Slightly away from the town
We decided to treat ourselves to a more upmarket hotel. This hotel is lovely. When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and showed us around. Our room was nice and modern and very clean. We had all the faciities you could wish for. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area. the gardens are maintained and look lovely. They have a gym and spa. Breakfast was excellent. Overall we wished had booked more than one night.
Hotel Feature Tip : They have a free shuttle bus that takes you to into the city.

Common areas of the hotel. Staff.
The common areas of the hotel are beautifull as well as the in-room bathrooms. Rooms are spacious and clean. Sofas in the room are not very confortable. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are good but not worth what is paid. Food in the hotel is very expensive compared to the outside prices.

Room, spa, staff, restaurant... Everything was good.
A bit far from the downtown Vientian. 45 min is a bit too long to deliver room service club sandwiches.
The hotel is sophisticated, has great atmosphere and service. They changed the room immediately when I complained that there are too many mosquitos in the room I was first offfred. Not many guests when I stayed, so I could relax. The spa inside the hotel is worth a try.
I will go back if I have a chance.
