Not too bad for value money
Good location and new hotel
6.7
Its good lactation in the city. Many foreign restaurants near by the hotel. I got a room with balcony it's quiet big and clean but small area shower room. If you're not so serious, I recommend this hotel.

Inexpensive but service was terrible

the room was only a big bed, no space for baggage. Small toilet with shower. I had a problem about laundry. They needs long time and I cannot get before check out. They said that you did not pay extra.

the ihouse is really convenient for my work and also at night. it's on a street full of tailors and at least one shoemaker. a close walk to the riverside, tons of restaurants and cafes like joma, wine95, jazzy brick, xayon (i always get the name wrong - on the same street as hotel). check in is always smooth with agoda and the staff. i keep meaning to try the breakfast and i can tell the staff is ready to help me, but i'm always running late...but they are very friendly and smile and wave when i walk by on my way to lunch or walking past as i go out for the evening. this time i spoke to the owner over the telephone and she was super nice, excellent english. just happenstance that we talked. i've been in this room before, i like it, just have to get used to the size of the bathroom. the aircon is really good, mini-bar which is nice to have. can't remember if the tv is flatscreen or not, but it works! also, the room does not have windows, normally i don't like this, but it's large enough that it doesn't bother me and i realized that i sleep better without the light starting to come in at 5am, but they do have other options. at the price range it is a really good deal. oh, wifi is definitely strong enough for my work/email...doesn't always keep a skype conversation going well, but that's to be expected.
Nightlife Tip:
As you'll see in my other posts, I am very partial to dining at Xayoh (again, spelled wrong), but go out of the hotel and turn left. It is on the right hand side several doors down before the street turns. Excellent crepes. Also, if you continue on the road in the same direction through the construction you'll come to a main road with lots of places, turn right and cross the street. Wine95 has an excellent wine selection and very friendly, knowledgeable staff who speak much more English than they let on at first (just shy!). The wine is climate controlled, so the pour is also controlled, but I've never had anything that was "off." You can do tastes and buy a bottle. On Tuesdays they do a free glass of bubbly and often have live jazz...not to mention wifi.

Nice location, definitely okay place to stay
7.3
this is a lower budget hotel, fairly new. i've seen other review since i stayed there that made me nervous, but my own stay was fine. the worst part is the bathroom was tiny and initially no toilet paper. the bed was good sized, flatscreen tv. i didn't really have anywhere to work except on the bed. they lock the front door at midnight, but there is a staff member sleeping there to let you in....he often falls asleep before midnight, but is quick to get up and let you in. the staff were unfailingly polite. when i had to leave early one trip they agreed to hold a bag and my iron for a week+ which was very helpful. i never did try the breakfast. again, location is close to so many restaurants, wine tasting bars, cafes, etc. and, they are on a street full of tailors and one shoemaker which i need to try!
Restaurant Tip:
Go out of the hotel to the left. Almost on the corner is a restaurant called Xang ____ great place for crepes and usually have specials listed outside.

Great hotel, Great location
Location, price, cleanliness
9.7
I've stayed in this hotel a few times, and am very impressed with the value for the money. It is very cheap, yet clean and well-appointed. The hotel is located near the fountain in Vientiane, which means that most of the city is easily accessible. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for quality budget accommodations.

I decided to stay at this hotel for a second night because of the location and value. I would also say that the staff is very friendly at this hotel. They can help you with a lot of information about Vientiane.
