Basic, good location and value for money
location, cleanliness, free tea and coffee
8.3
This hotel is good for a base. The rooms have TV and are clean. The wifi is a little slow. They offer free tea and coffee and the location is good.

We get into an under expectations guest house. the interior of the room is look different with the photo been show .
When we ask for breakfast on next day morning, but been informed breakfast are not included, but voucher shown included. Afternoon arguing with the proof, finally we get it on last minutes.
An unhelpful (Male boss), work not efficient, but nice lady boss and staff.
Rooms at 5th floor without lift, poor internet signal.

Good location. No breakfast when book by Agoda
Location, location, location!!
6.3
It was just a stopover in Vientiane so I wanted a place that I could have a nice dinner and a massage. iHouse is centrally located and is close to many restaurants and massage places so it was perfect. The room was on the small side and everything was basic. However there were decent TV channels and everything was clean. The only thing was that although it was mentioned clearly on my hotel voucher that breakfast was included, the receptionist told me it was not. He said they have already mentioned to Agoda. Breakfast was served from 8 to 10am and I was leaving at 7:30 so I wouldn't be able to take it anyway. However the way it was handled was not really good. He just kept saying they have mentioned to Agoda so there was no way I could get breakfast. The bedroom flooded after my shower and water smelled really earthy.

Just a short stay but the ihouse was a nice and comfortable place to stay, the hotel is clean and although the room was smallish it was comfortable and big enough for one. The hotel is quite centrally located and the staff were friendly.

Nice Room with a Balcony
Room size, Comfort, Location
8
The room we had was one with a balcony during our first stay. That was an excellent choice since on our return, we chose a standard room which was entirely too small to even move around comfortably. Even the balcony room had a really small bathroom. In fact, it was so small that taking a shower was difficult even for an average-size person. The staff was friendly but difficult to deal with despite having my wife speaking the local dialect with them. Room prices double if not booked through Agoda so I had to stand at the counter with a smartphone booking through Agoda at the counter. They would not accept cash in any kind of similar amount. If paying cash, the price was nearly double so book ahead to avoid the annoance of that. The Internet is also incredibly slow in the rooms but decent in the lobby.

OK
location, helpful map, near temples/restaurants
6.7
I was on the hot, fourth floor (walk-up very steep steps)of an older hotel. I guess parts are being remodeled--some loud noises early in the morning. AC worked OK. No frig. Tiny bathroom. Room's window was on the corridor--be sure to keep blinds closed. Breakfast was a tasteless baguette with jam/butter and mediocre coffee. However, nice temples were within reasonable walking distance and some excellent restaurants near the river, along with a night market (more for local shoppers). Again, the taxi was booked through the airport kiosk, which controls prices. Taxis wanted more for the return and even tuk-tuks wanted the same rate as a taxi. I finally negotiated a tuk-tuk for half the airport taxi fare--it's not an extremely long ride.
