Good hotel, but I can't see river

it is located near the night market. vientiane is very small city. it is convenient to go everywhere from hotel. of course it is not possible to see the river on standard room.

charming and great location
room size, staff, location
8.7
this is an older hotel with a slightly faded feel, but the rooms are huge and clean (try for the front ones with view of mekong) the staff are very nice and you could not get a better position. opposite the river and the night market. booking through Agoda i got four nights for the price of three and this made it very good value. Breakfast was OK and included. bathroom a bit old but adequate.
Restaurant Tip:
If you like modern lao food try the mak Phet restaurant, it is a teaching restaurant for less advantaged young people and the food is excellent.

Great location just across from the river.
Not far to walk to the city centre, and the night market is just outside the door.

The room we had was tired but the location far outweighed this. Unfortunately our air-con was leaking and dripped onto the small table where we had left some magazines and maps. Breakfast was adequate. The view out our window was of the Mekong and was beautiful to see the sunset from the small balcony. The reception area was fascinating with the artifacts on display. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Restaurant Tip:
Marphet restaurant or the The Full Moon for a meal. The night market was worth a stroll.

Quite a nice hotel
The restaurant was pleasant and the food lovely

WE were astonished when we were asked to pay 250 batt for a slight stain on a towel, which was easily removed by laundering!! Therefore we would not use one of their hotels again!

one of the best hotels in vientiane
Good location, simple but nice rooms
8
the breakfast was not very special but everything else in this little hotel was right. they have a good choice of rooms, some of them very simple but traditional in style, the staff were very helpful and the location was great.
Shopping Tip:
Buy everything you need from the local convenience store.

Great Location
Location, Friendly Staff Service, Large Comfortable Deluxe Room
8.3
hotel is in a fantastic position overlooking the meekong. a little road noise but compensated by the marvellous view. on arrival the friendly staff wade us feel welcome and the hotel lobby is quite unique and very atmospheric,
our room was a deluxe with views of the river, it was very large and a most comfortable bed.
i would highly reccomend this hotel as excellent value for money.

Great budget hotel in Vientiane.
Very good breakfast, close to the river, and very nice staff.

It has a great discount so I decided to book and checked in at the same time. The standard rooms are mid way a guesthouse and a hotel, nothing special, but 100% comfortable. TV, complimentary water, small fridge, WiFi in the room, nice bed, nice bathroom, fan, air/con, etc. And a great buffet breakfast with an 'surprisingly' drinkable coffee!!!
I am staying at the Intercity next week again for 10 days. No doubt.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Check out the new park along the river. Great for jogging and aerobic at the end of the day or in the early morning.
