Stay only one night in the hotel. Well located on the Mekong river front. Easy access to the restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and comfortable but quaint. The staff was nice and helpful and managed to give us our room before the check-in time.

Good location, but absolutely filthy inside
Right on the riverside, ramshackle interior full of character

when we first saw the inter city boutique hotel, we thought it was derelict, but that was just one half of the front of the building.the good things about the hotel was the lay-out, the character of the place with cabinets full of artefacts on every floor, and the huge rooms. oh, and the local lady on reception. we saw one european lady on reception, but she seemed a bit clueless, or perhaps she didn't speak english.
but the overwhelming impression of the place was that it hadn't been cleaning since it opened. all the cabinets and cluttered surfaces were thick with dust, and the outsides of the windows were filthy.
breakfast in the stone restaurant at the side of the hotel was not to a high standard, nor were the food-handling methods of the staff. we ate out in the evenings.
the location is very good, it's just a shame that the housekeeping is letting the place down. avoid if you are allergic to dust.
Restaurant Tip:
Just round the corner is a small Italian-style restaurant run by locals called "La Gondola". Great food and reasonable prices, good service and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

My wife and i stayed in Vientiane for a total of 5 days. we really enjoyed the peaceful and safe city of Vientiane. Not a lot to visit but quality time was important for us. My wife and i travel everywhere in Asia for this past 4 years and i can assure you that the food is very delicious and drinks are well made specially the cocktails. This city is so relaxing, we took time to rent two bicycles and go around the city . Very cheap price, only per day per person. You can visit a lot and enjoy the relaxing city of Vientiane with their multiple Temples.Overall , i can say that this trip was perfect to ressource your energy.
Hope my review will bring you to this nice Hotel and city.
Thank you

Restaurant Tip:
Please enjoy the food in most restaurants , there is a vast selection of nice coffee shop or terrasse restaurant to offer you great moments. Also at night i recommend the Rooftop bar just beside the Inter city Hotel on the fourth floor . Nice please to have a drink and listen to good music.

Clean room but look ancient
7.3
I stayed just one night but a room quite good. In weekend, you will found a lot of local open market. The hotel was nearly a lot of restaurant. If you like antique room style, its your choice!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
u can walk around hotel area. It had a lot of sight and seeing place. A hotel located near Mae Khong River

A cozy hotel
friendly and smiling staff

I love the fact that all staff there are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. There is certainly no lack of smiles, making my heart feels so warm inside… Also, my room has a great view of Mekong river which is fantastic. I only wish the wifi worked better in my room.

Unique hotel on the river
location, character, clean, nice staff

Our first room smelled of smoke so the staff happily gave us a new, and much nicer room for the same price. The first room was dark and small, but the room we stayed in was a corner room with large windows and a larger floor plan. It was clean and had what we needed. It was within walking distance of the night market and many restaurants and bars. The biggest issue was since we had so many windows and we on the street side the noise from the street vendors was a bit loud during the nights.

This is simply an average hotel, the rooms were ok, but a little tired. Only stayed here one night and left early so wasn't able to check out the breakfast.
