Comfortable and safe. Breakfasts in the garden surroundings are the nicest treat. The room is small for the price (compared with Thailand) but clean enough, wish the hotel management pays more attention in fixing up bathroom taps, shower head, etc. Reception staff was very friendly. Will stay again because of the tranquility of in-house garden.

This is a good hotel if you are just stopping over for a night or two. There was nothing super special about it, but it was not bad. We were just there for a visa run. If we were going to actually have a vacation, we probably would have chosen a bigger hotel with more to offer (probably not in Vientiane). The internet connection was slow, and the room was small. The breakfast menu was not fantastic, but is about the same as some most other hotels in this range. There was a very pretty courtyard with tables and plants. It is right in the middle of restaurants and tourist shops. Also, all the taxi drivers know how to get there, so that is nice.

Went for 3 days/2 nights for my son's latest visa run. Very impressed always with the staff at the hotel and it's just a great location to walk to most things in the city and to the River.

This was my second stay at the Malinamphu, and it, again, lived up to expectations. The rooms are not large but clean and adequate. Its central location is a big bonus and the hotel/guesthouse has an enticing courtyard that provides the perfect ambiance for breakfast. The staff are friendly and responsive. Our room had a pleasant shared balcony overlooking the courtyard and this was useful for reading with a late-afternoon drink. The wi-fi was fast but intermittent, although there are terminals in the hotel reception area that one could use. Overall, it's a great spot to stay for three or four days.
