Worst value for money in Laos

this hotel has a wonderful lobby and rooms without windows. after complaining about this we were given a room with a window. the room had 1 towel (for three people), no bathmat, not cover for the duna and the hot water did not work. the staff are friendly but the hotel is not kept clean and the entire package is very poor.

Nice hotel in central Vientiane

the new lao paris hotel is located in the center of vientiane. the mekong river can be reached within a short walk.
this was my second stay in this hotel. when i come back to vientiane, i will definitely stay again in this hotel.
it is not the nicest and cleanest hotel. you just have to concider that the room rates are quite cheap.
the free wifi is working perfectly at the hotel.

Good location but very poor service and room

The hotel is in a good location, but this is all.
- The bed was very dirty and smelly ( seems they did not clean it before).The towels were defnitely not clean, as i could smell some perfume from someone before.
- The bathroom had no water in the handwashing bin, and even after complaiing no one card about it.
- The light for the bathroom was not working - the touchpoint was broken, as there was a whole in the wall and it went in there and i only saw loose cables.
- The complimentary water was not there and i did not get any on the next day
- there is no one helping with luggage, they even do not show u the room, the man at the reception did not speak and just throw over the key
Hotel Feature Tip:
At the same road, there are a lot of other hotels, or just go around the corner and take one there. Much better!

charm and character meets budget minded travelers
the hotel has old world french colonial charm..

i would rate this hotel about a 7... the staff are super friendly, the breakfast was adequate... the location was superb-- about 10 min walk to "everytehere".. we had a "3rd" floor room-- with a balcony.... but the 5 levels of stairs were a bit exhausting...
Restaurant Tip:
directly across the street is the blue banana... incredible food.. a bit asian, a bit western.. the staff are super friendly..

we had a lovely time staying here, mostly because the staff at the front desk were lovely and accommodating. clean sheets, the only negative was the shower wet the ah.ole bathroom when in use

Very very friendly staff!!
Huge room, clean sheets, very comfortable bed, really yummy breakfast which was included, Great location in the centre of town (and right around the corner from the Scandanavian bakeryYUM)

Had a really lovely couple of days . . . was refreshing waking up every morning to be met by the smiling face of lady behind the front desk, only to happy to help us with anything,even lend us her umbrella for the day when it was raining. Very comfortable sheets!

Scandanavian Bakery, just around the corner . . . Not to be missed!

new laos paris is actually a little bit of an older hotel. the decor and rooms are not in great shape but the rooms are big, spacious and have good wifi. good value for money and the staff were very friendly.

first of all, if you fancy sleeping on stained bed-sheets with toilet with a stench then this could be the hotel for you.. they management were kind enough to stay up to let us check-in even though we arrived past mid-night, I had to acknowledge their professionalism. However, overall i think this hotel really need to try to sort out it's hygiene issues.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
vientiane arc de triomphe worths a visit which is not far from the hotel
