it is a nice standard hotel, clean and well kept, not just in room and restuarant but also in gym and pool etc. - the latter are definitely on plus-side, as it is great to be able to exercise while travelling. But also a bit impersonal - very "Europeanised"... internet is expensive, no possibility for late checkout, and e.g. only possible to have green/Lao tea with breakfast if paid extra, ridiculous in light of breakfast costing more than 10$ and not being included - but friendly staff making up for smaller irritations, all in all a good place to stay, especially at reduced Internet-rate.
Good location, gym and pool good, nice room, very friendly staff.
Breakfast a bit expensive and not included in room rate. Also, Internet is very expensive, especially in light of minimum charge - free wireless or cable would have been great!

In-Room Internet service is available but is the most expensive in Asia at $17.50 per 24 hours. One would expect to pay around $8 per day on average. Buffet dinner in the hotel dinning room is below average in quality and variety of selections.

Hotel is a little walk from center of town but hotel has free shuttles. Hotel also has arrangements with tuk-tuks for set rates which are very reasonable.

A 3 star hotel priced at a 5 star Vientiane level.
Avoid if other similarly priced hotels are available.
Better options available.

Very unusual and attractive for a Novotel, which are usually bland.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Superbly situated across the road from the Mekong and beautiful sunsets.

I don't think the room provided this time is worth to the room rate.
- Restaurant Tip : Local Restaurant(s) near by Mekong River give you nice amenity with breeze and nice taste with reasonable price as well. People are also very friendly and feel very much comfortable.
