Lovely hotel, a little pricey for Vientiane

it was a lovely hotel in a great location that is in the centre of everything. the hotel was a good relaxing spot to unwind. the service is friendly and helpful, the food menu in the restaurant was extensive and delicious, the spa facilities were great - body scrub was good, laotian massage was different for me as i normally prefer oil massages but was good, - and the room was substantial and comfortable. a little pricey for overall vientiane but it's a good hotel nonetheless.

Excellent small hotel but no bar

Centrally located only a few minutes walk from the river front this is a very nice hotel for the business traveller.
On arrival I was given the free wifi password without having to ask (very rare) and offered the use of an IPad for my stay.
The staff were very courteous, helpful and spoke good English. They can offer pick up and drop off at the airport for the same price as you will pay for a dodgy taxi with no brakes.
The bed was the biggest I have ever seen and very comfortable
I only had 2 small gripes, no bar (it is coming soon) and the shower had only 2 settings, scalding hot and freezing cold.
All in all I would recommend a suite, my room had a balcony (small) running round 2 sides with views to the river and Thailand beyond

An impressive hotel
The location is nice and room is decent.

It was nice experience to live here for 5 days. It's impressive that they have all apple devices in such a country, it made you feel even worse when we see the news of Jobs'leaving... The people are nice. The food was good but boring...but the spa is not worthwhile.

Competent service with a Laos smile
Second visit to the Salana was equally as good as the first. Nice funky decor with great service by staff. The reception staff were paricularly good. Tik, Nasia and Mr Kean you are a credit to the hotel

Very Nice Hotel and Great Decor
Free Wifi as i had to keep intouch with my buisness and all services were fast and done correctly

Restaurant Tip:
Eat at the breakfast buffet at the hotel fill up with rice cakes omelets and other goodies and i did not want to eat until dinner

Clean hotel
On my morning of departure i went down for breakfast at 8am and by the time i returned to my room housekeeping had already turned the room around. Efficient, but frustrating as i had not yet checked out!

Room was small but well equipped. Staff assisted and were pleasant with enquiries. Hotel policy needs review for the price paid, to charge extra for a bicycle rental and printing travel information seems unfortunate.

The Salana Boutique Hotel is in a convenient location near the Mekong river - easy to reach both the riverside and city center. Hotel seems to be a favorite of business travelers. Rooms are nice and large and have the expected conveniences. Full breakfast buffet.
Nightlife Tip:
The road along the river comes alive at night with food vendors and street attractions.

The Salana Boutique Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. The nicely decorated rooms are large and clean. The breakfast is excellent and has local, Chinese, and Western options. The whole hotel is filled with wood which makes it not just beautiful but also very classy.
It is child friendly and in a quiet area, yet walking distance to the water way with its slew of places to eat and drink.
I highly recommend this hotel!

I have been to Salana dozen of times, it is a small boutique that has good reliable service, good breakfast, and friendly staff. They always remember the guest well. The location is good, walking distance to many great restaurants, bakery and cafes. It is a clean and well modernized design, best in it's rates compared. Transportation service (limo) also fair, may not be the cheapest but sure not the most expensive.Outdoor restaurant is also available, it has a good atmosphere, should try it. I recommend this if you are looking for the same price comparison.
Restaurant Tip:
Try: MakPhet (Laos), Kao Jai Der (Laos&International), Xahoy Grill House, and French at Nam Phou.
