We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was restful and relaxing. The decor is wonderful -- we often used the stairs rather than the elevator so we could look at the carved wood pieces hanging in the stairway. The staff was attentive and accommodating. The only thing we wished for that was not available was a pool to cool off in.

Average hotel in a top location.

This hotel, has a great location of the bank of the river not far from the city but could be slightly closer. The bigges problem was the staff lack of language skills, and competence about doing basic things such as check or or calling room service. I came back to Vietiane the week after however chose to stay some where different.

Lovely hotel in the business area.

Hotel is situated about a mile from the centre of the town. Air conditioning broke down on our first night so we were moved for our second night with no problem. Beautiful rooftop restaurant which is great for watching the sunset and sunrise.
Large rooms as well.

dated rooms with terrible views

The staff at first couldn't find my reservation and then couldn't get the wifi passwords to work. The rooms are really sad and ugly. I had planned to eat dinner there but the restaurant was deserted and so I walked down the street to find a cafe.
I was alone and only in town for a night so I didn't really care about the hotel, but if it had been my vacation I would have switched hotels upon arrival.
Travel tip:
"the spirit house" cafe down the block has nice food and wine and charming atmosphere
