not conveniently accessible to the city especially with kids. very reliant on transport to move around but the price is expensive.
Travel tip:
Airport transfer arrangement could be missed out. Better reconfirm again and again.

A bit out of the way

We only stayed a day after booking 2 nights, we were not that impressed, it had 4 stars at time of booking, I would say it would struggle at 3 stars. The staff told us 10 minutes walk only to the ATM.. 45 minutes later in the scorching sun and badly sunburnt was enough to make me check out. Also has no road to it... just a dirt track for the last 1 km

We enjoyed our American breakfasts by the pool. Staff friendly and helpful, once they know what a Gin & Tonic is! Make it in your room and enjoy looking over to Thailand. (Free ice) Expensive for what it was, but location was good for us.

Only set-back is the uncompleted road in front of the hotel resulted in the area to be a bit dusty for morning or evening walk along the riverbank or to other surrounding food outlets.

Unassuming mid-range hotel with lovely staff

between backpacker guesthouses and luxury hotels - a mid-range oases with an incredible river view and friendly, helpful, english-speaking staff. our only disappointment was a rather minimal breakfast "buffet" -- but as it was served by the pool overlooking the mekong, we never missed it! some people complained about the location: it was difficult to get a tuk-tuk from the hotel and it's on a dirt road so no matter whether you wash your hair in the morning or the evening, it will be covered with a fine layer of red dust! on the other hand, the direct view of the river cannot be beaten.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you want a twin-bedded room with a view -- 514 has got BOTH city and river views from its balcony!

clean, comfortable and tidy room which was reasonably appointed. unfortunately the tv was a bit old and small, too small for the room. mini bar was adequate and the prices were quite reasonable. breakfast was a let down, it was very basic and bland. nice setting next to the hotel pool but quality was a let down, should have been much better for the room price. the hotel is a long walking distance from city centre but has the river views. if not into the nightlife scene this hotel is ideal choice for a quiet staay.

nice location on the riverfront. right nextdoor to the spirit house cafe and bar, rooms were very nice and spacious and staff were friendly and helpful.. definately would stay again.
