when checking out, we were told that the towel is dirty and we had to pay. The towel was a bit dirty as we had wiped the wash basin which was dirty. we guessed did not pay.
we had been satisfied until then but this check out "experience" put the whole 2 nights stay in a bad light.
Travel tip:
not a good deal considering other hotels available

Only set-back is the uncompleted road in front of the hotel resulted in the area to be a bit dusty for morning or evening walk along the riverbank or to other surrounding food outlets.

Unassuming mid-range hotel with lovely staff

between backpacker guesthouses and luxury hotels - a mid-range oases with an incredible river view and friendly, helpful, english-speaking staff. our only disappointment was a rather minimal breakfast "buffet" -- but as it was served by the pool overlooking the mekong, we never missed it! some people complained about the location: it was difficult to get a tuk-tuk from the hotel and it's on a dirt road so no matter whether you wash your hair in the morning or the evening, it will be covered with a fine layer of red dust! on the other hand, the direct view of the river cannot be beaten.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you want a twin-bedded room with a view -- 514 has got BOTH city and river views from its balcony!

i stayed here for 3 weeks on business. the hotel suits business travelers as it provides free wi-fi; transport to meetings; pick up from airport; rooms suitable for working (including good lighting) etc. the pool although fairly shallow is sufficient length for exercise. breakfast is simple but good. staff and management are very helpful. location is right on the river and the views from the front rooms are exceptional. there is flood mitigation work at the moment and this is a hassle for walking in the rainy season. it will be ok in the dry season. overall, highly recommended.

難は ホテル内に韓国のHANAトラベルの事務所があり韓国人の安物団体客がバスでぞろぞろやってきて滞在しているので、なんとなく心地よさがありません。
特に朝ご飯時の 喧噪はイライラします。
それ以外はお勧めのホテル。
オーナーはラオス建築業界の重鎮家族、ここ以外に４軒ホテルを経営しています。
オーナーの娘がここには常駐。
食事もおいしく、地下にはホテル直営のナイトクラブもあります。
隣のホテルはテラスレストランで有名で、ここにはマッサージ店もあります。

値段相応。部屋は広い。繁華街から少し離れているため静か。冷蔵庫があるのでビール好きの友人はすぐ近くの店で買ってきたビールと毎晩交換して飲んでいましたが、文句は出ませんでした。

空港の送迎をキチンとしてくれ、感謝してます。すぐそばがメコン川であり、早朝の散策は快適だった、また町の中心部とは若干離れているので、喧騒さはなく静かな環境であり、できればもっと滞在したかった。
