don't come in my room without my permission

we didn't have towels in our room so we asked for some as soon as we checked in. the manager came in our room three times in 10 minutes to make sure what we were saying was the truth, the last time while i was in the shower. the newile i was in the shower. the next day, th cleaning staff were trying to get into our room while we had the do not disturb sign hanging outside on the knob.

For much less you can find equally basic but well located hotel. Not worth the money for backpackers. Hotels on arrival are easy to find

Ok but i think you could find better. The staff was friendly, location and breakfast ok. There were a lot of mosquitos in the room. There was a window in the room that was about 1 meter from the next building and you could clearly hear/feel all the traffic

This hotel is overpriced in comparison to other accommodation of the same standard nearby. The staff are attentive and friendly, the breakfast is adequate - but don't leave it too late or you might have to take what's left.
They offer a laundry service, again overpriced. The laundry doesn't smell particularly freshly laundered upon its return either.
On a positive note, there's an in-room safe, a fridge, TV with a few western options - HBO, etc - decent air-con and reliable WiFi.

Small nice hotel located in a great location straight up from the Mekong River. Easy to find as it is situated right on the same street. Clean and tidy and the breakfast quite ok. No elevator so it can be a pain to have rooms on the upper level and especially if you have the packing.
You can find better hotels for the same money
