Review for the hotel
Close to the bus stop, not far from shopping area
7
The overall is quite good. The hotel is closed to the bus stop and not far from the shopping area and attraction places. There is a bus from Venetian stopping near to the hotel. The room is quite old but clean. The service is quite slow. Not much facilities in the hotel. The price is quite high if comparing to the overall condition.

A Good Spot
position, cleanliness, staff,
7
I had never been to Macau and as a tourist I was delighted when I found myself at this hotel. It is within walking distance of most of the historical tourist attractions and is good for shopping and for restaurants and small food outlets too. The people at the hotel were courteous and helpful and wrote Chinese characters and gave advice whenever it was requested. The room was small and the bed too but was clean and had a large window which helped to give a feeling of spaciousness when the curtain was pulled back.

What can I say...
Good location but then again, Macau is so small that I don't think there are any bad locations...

Best Western Sun Sun Hotel
Good location.
Friendly staff.
Reasonable rates.
6.7
Stayed two nights - one in a standard room, the next in an "executive" room. The standard room was small and a little shabby (not unusual for Macao or Hong Kong). The executive room was much nicer, recently re-decorated and with a good view across Macao. The hotel is currently undergoing some refurbishment, but this is not a major problem. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rather bland, but the coffee was ok!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Good location for exploring the old town. We saw all the sights in a day, on foot.
If you want to travel across to Taipa, get a taxi to the Sands casino and get a free shuttle bus over to the Venetian.

Comfortable budget hotel
Beds very comfortable and a good location close to historic centre and chinatown.
7.7
We were pleasantly surprised just how comfortable our stay was, the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help individuals even when there was a tour group in the lobby. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the historic city centre and in a quiet location, we would definately stay here again if travelling on a budget and Agodas rates seemed competitive.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Many small local restaurants nearby and close to city centre shopping

Review of Best Western Sun Sun Hotel Macau
Location to the historic area of town
6.3
The location of the Best Western Sun Sun Hotel is very good for easy walking access into the historic area that features as a World Heritage walking tour on the Macau maps. Even wth a child in a push chair this was very easy and enjoyable to do. The hotel itself, we felt, was becoming a bit run down with a number of things not working efficiently in our room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Many of the big hotels with casinoes attached have free shuttle bus services to the ferry terminal where you can then pick up a free shuttle service to The Venetian.
