Best Western Taipa Hotel, Macau

Over all we enjoyed are stay. I will recommend this hotel to the budget travelers. There's number of fast food establishment near the hotel. and shuttle services is very accurate. do check the hotel schedule for drop off time.

Its your choice of hotel if you are looking for a cheap but comfortable and spacious place to stay in Macau. However go for another one if you need night-life cause its located at a quiet residential area without much fun & food at all at night. My room was freely upgraded as I checked-in late and all standard rooms were full. Service wasn't impressive but not awful. But its annoying they don't have public phone in the hotel lobby.

Would recommend to budget travellers and family. Very near to the Venetian Resort hotel which is a must visit place while in Macau. A mere 10 minutes drive from the Macau airport and 20 minutes to the Zhuhai Gong Bei Border. Sad thing they don't provide free transport to this Gong Bei border but anyway taxis are aplenty. Would recommend to travellers who want value for money stay although saturday rates may be a bit high.

The hotel is good to stay. It is near to most places of interests. We can walk to there. The price of the hotel is quite fair with good room conditions. I like the bed very much. It is not so soft. I would recommend my friends to this hotel.

Location: I stayed here for one night only and used it as a sleepover because I had an early flight out of Macau the next morning. The location is quite close to the airport and I was delighted to find a room here for HKD330 (thereabouts) on a Friday night over the weekend when Chinese New Year Holidays were about to begin. All the other options that I could see available were either too expensive or to0 seedy. Check in was smooth - they kept a HK$500 deposit for a room.. We had booked 2 rooms, so HK$1000. The Venetian Macau was less than 20HK$ by cab from this hotel and the airport was only slightly more I think. Facilities: Everything was nice and clean. Bathroom with clean towels and toiletries, beds with good clean sheets. Rooms were decent. The hotel was perhaps a little dated. Only one snag was that out of the 2 complimentary bottles of water that was there in my room, one was already opened and someone appeared to have drank a little from it. But I didnt really bother as it was late and I already had my own water. Free/Internet: Did not use, but i did see that there were a couple of terminals in the lobby where guests were surfing. Quiet hotel and accessible. You can take a walk to our lady of carmel and taipa museum or you can take a taxi to venetian hotel for about MOP 15. Accross the street you can take a bus to macau island. Although the room was so small for two person person it was clean and complete. the staff were unapproachable because they cant understand english words. Nice place to relax,a quiet room. Across the street there is a small coffee shop with filipino crews. You can ask some travel tips to other tourist spots.

Hotel with budget price, for me, with the money i spend, this hotel is more than enough, have quite big room, and most important is clean. Have no problem while check in, not all staff speak English, only the receptionist. Located near bus stop, you can take bus to places you wanna go and only about 20 walk to venetian hotel. Well, after all, i just can say Best Western Taipa is recommended for budget hotel.

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel and its proximity to the Taipa village (10 mins walk to many restaurants). It is easily accessible by public bus from other parts of the city. 10 mins drive to the airport and Venetian, free shuttle to the ferry terminal was very helpful. The room is so big and spacious. Extra bed can be obtained at no extra cost. The buffet breakfast is good.

it is within walking distance to famous street "Guan Ye Jie" where you can find shops selling famous cookies. there are some Portuguese restaurants nearby too. it is about 10 to 15 mins walk to vientian hotel. from vientian hotel, there are many shuttle bus services to airport, macau ferry terminal, taipa ferry terminal, the border and sands casino. overall, macau is pretty accessible with so many shuttle bus services provided by most hotels.

The hotel is quite good place to stay for relaxing but not convenient for people who would like to go for shopping or eating since it is not located at the centre of the Macau but close to Venetian Macau and other Taipa's casinos.

I couldn't see the indicator lights in the elevator. this may seem like a minor issue, but it is very inconvenient when the elevator is full of people and everyone is jostling to punch their own floor buttons again and again. Also they have timed air freshener aerosols in the elevators. I recommend the far elevator (of three) the smell there is a fresh citrus like and quite pleasant. There is a casino downstairs, don't go there - it is a den of inequity for the cursed.

The hotel is an ideal place for us to stay because it is near to many tourist places in Macau. The Venetian is just walking distance away and we had a grand time hopping from one bus to another, going to Coloane and then to Senado. It's really a perfect hotel where you can feel the warmth of your home.

The staffs are very kind, near to airport, Taipa city, and so on. We could enjoy to stay in Macau so much. Reasonable price than another hotel, but so nice. When I stay in Macau again, I will make the choice to stay in the Best Western hotel again.

Reception is perfect.It is very near Macau airport you can take bus or taxi in 5 mins. The Bus station is very near the Hotel. It only took us 15 mins to go to Macau Island. Foodshops are just nearby the Hotel just walking distance. The Lobby is alright and nice. The rooms are wide and clean. I'll recommend to some of my friends to use this Hotel if they are looking for the value of their money.I'll visit again next time.
