Great location but terrible service

First impression: It is a really disorganized and messy place.
There is only a reception desk on the first floor and luggages were piled up messily behind the hotel receptionists. We waited for 30 minutes just to get to our rooms as we checked in at the same time with a travel group but only two lifts are working.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Really close to Hotel Lisboa where you can hop onto their free and more frequent shuttle buses.
10 minutes walk to the famous Portuguese egg tart cafe.

Executive room size is big and comfortable. Free Wi-fi is more convenience for business. Location is good, easy to go out for shopping. Room include breakfast with a reasonable rate.

Beautiful Hotel but Atrocious Service.

Great location and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The service and ground staff were left to be desired. Staff only conversed in Mandrain or Cantonese.
Were discourteous and rude. Didnt even know the time taken from hotel to airport (one and the half hours??? probably thinking we were walking to the airport).
Rooms didnt supply any bottled drinking water.
List charges indicated distilled water only. Drank a bottle of mineral water and was charged HKG20.
Travel tip:
Presently the hotel is under renovation. Presently having only a small reception area. Recommended stay after renovation only.

Hotel is near Hotel Lisboa and grand Lisboa casino. Also within 15 min walk to ruins if st paul cathedral. Executive room is more spacious but furniture is very dated. Breakfast is good and serves from 7am. However not all the food is ready at 7am. Hotel lobby is currently under renovation. If the rooms are renovated, don't mind to stay in this hotel again. Near "Ting Tai Fung", a famous dumpling shop which opens 24 hrs.

The view from the hotel were wonderful. The room are very clean and so quiet that can hear your own breath. Near by the casino just opposite of the entrance. Night time is so bright when you walk out from the hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
Walk around you would fond a lot of intrestings.

the staff which is Beverly Plaza Hotel was not kindless and I felt inconvenience cause the staff acted like "I am tired so you don't make me irritated". And then Heat and air conditioner is not good(maybe my room had some problems) anyway I had to shiver with cold...

nice rooms with good bath room. in spite of the langugae barrier the staff were helpful and did their best to make our stay confrotable. the location is in the centre of the city with lot of faciliries around. the area is safe to walk even during night times.
