Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were really nice except, although we asked for a non smoking room we could smell stale smoke, which also filtered through the aircon system. That was the unfortuante turn off to what was other wise really good.
Restaurant Tip:
Must go to Loloacha portugese rest. amazing!

There is a new law in Macau that bans smoking inside buildings. But this is almost completely ignored and the smell of cigarettes is everywhere. As soon as we entered the building you could smell the smoke, in the lifts, in the rooms. They obviously try to cover it, but the aircon takes the smells everywhere. In the casinos, people smoke openly. We mentioned this to a couple but were completely ignored.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Macau is like a cheap version of Las Vegas. But it is not welcoming to non-Asians and even then non-Chinese. I was warned of this before I went, but to experience the ani-western racism first hand is quite something. My tip is DONT GO TO MACUA unless you are Chinese + Smoker + Gambler. If you dont fit into this exact group, dont go!

Nice & grand hotel with friendly service
Great Location ,easy access to many major shopping place , easy to find food , really like it

Just back from macau , stay to this hotel , really nice & lovely
room , even we are late check in but they still automatic upgrade our room from superior to executive delux room .
They have food court at 1st floor of the hotel casino so easy
is you meet on the raining day , convent walk to grand lisboa
and Wynn Hotel , nice location we love it and will stay this hotel on next visit

Located in the center of shopping area and got free shuttle bus from Macau-Hongkong Ferry Terminal to hotel. The staffs and bellboys are helpful and polite, comfortable bed, clean and well maintained room.Yaohan is just beside the hotel. Walking distance to some tourist attractions like Senado Square and small food stores.

Fantastic Hotel that has a palace look-alike lobby and modernise room set-up! Best hotel throughout my entire trip!

Grand Emperor is located in the centre of shopping area n got free shuttle bus to airport .The bellboys are very polite n friendly .the 24 hrs restaurant serve very good food n lot of varieties for u to choose n most important is price very reasonable.I Will come back for next visit in Macau.

arriving in the evening, my first impression was "wow… that's a really big bright sign on the side." that aside, the grand decadence is, thankfully, not overdone.
the reception staff knew my name as soon as i arrived and were attentive to my needs. i stayed in an executive suite.
i had a lot of work to conduct in my room and so ordered room service more than once during my stay. i found that process was a bit laborious and the food that arrived was disappointing.
everything else, however, was perfectly acceptable.

Beautiful hotel with great hospitality

It was our first trip to Macau and staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful which made our stay most pleasant.
I would certainly stay there again.
Restaurant Tip:
You must try the dinner buffet at the hotel which was excellent,varieties of food to suit all. To top it off they had an excellent entertaining band during dinner who played such beautiful music from the 60's to the 80's, I didn't want them to stop....definitely go have a great dinner and listen to the music you'd actually want to get up and dance.

Nice hotel, good location - but a mayor structural renocation was going on - some rooms smell from smoking - only 1 non smoking floor
