Good hotel but hard to understand receptionist

The hotel, physically, is very pretty. However, when i talked to the receptionist to check-in, he is very hard to understand (Chinese accent). Thank God, another receptionist who speaks better and clearer English helped him. Overall, our stay was good.

For only a 3 star hotel we were very impressed. Room was huge, beautifully furnished and very clean. Breakfast was of excellent value.

Grand Emperor hotel is good one, I recommend to stay here because it's near shopping area, Senado Square, we can walk about 5-10 minute to the place and then walk throug the St.Paul to see the famous St.Paul. Hotel also has shuttle bus between airport to the hotel and ferry terminal to the hotel. It's very convenience for tourism and save cost. Great hotel

we had one newly renovated room, while the other one was slightly older. generally, it was a good stay. although there were no amenities for the family type traveller, the location made up for the weaker points.

Hotel should have the list of department stores and shopping areas at the lobby and special discount vouchers for shopping.
Shopping Tip:
This hotel is the best location where is near Yaohan Department Store and Senado Square by walk only 5-10 mins.

Nice Hotel
Near Big Casinos (Wynn, Lisboa, MGM), walking distance to Senado Square. Free shuttle.

A pleasant and memorable stay at the hotel
The hotel staffs are very courteous; from arrival at the front entrance to check-in and to showing the room. From our room windows, we could see part of the harbor. The night view was gorgeous. We had dinner at the 9th floor restaurant; the service was very good and the price was reasonable.

Hotel location: located in a nice area and within walking distance to some major attractions. A strong "Plus".
Staffs: Very courteous, but I hope they can show more hearty smiles everytime when they speak. The room: Roomy and tastely decorated. The window seats add a romantic touch for the guests to sit down while enjoying the outside views.
Overall: a 8.5 out of 10.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Would be nice to have a tour guide brouchure in the room to indicate where to see and to eat with distance between points indicated. Also, would be nice to have a restaurant guide of the city, to indicate type of foods and price level. As tourists, we like to walkaround but need to do it within allowable time frame.
