Since the name change to Grand Lapa it looks like their has been no investment in the property. The carpeting is worn, the key card system is antiquated, the rooms have old furniture and VERY old lighting.
The weekend breakfast buffet is average in quality and quantity, but WAY overpriced!
Restaurant Tip:
for an inexpensive, wide selection of good food served quickly you can't beat Red 8 at Wynn Macau. AND it's open 24 hours a day!

Attentive service with easily accessible location

The staff at the hotel was very helpful and when they noticed that there isn't any double room avaialbe, we were being upgraded to the Suite for free. Although it was only a one night stay, it's cerntianly formed a very good impression and i will definitely come back to visit again!

A lovely hotel with some great feature in Macau. The location was in golden triangle. We were lucky enough to book the club 80 suites during our stay during their grand opening. The staff were attentive and professional striving to meet our every need during our stay. Room service meals were fantastic and quick. Happy hour drinks were wonderful on the club level.

the staff at the grand lapa were incredibly helpful and went the extra mile when booking restaurants and transport. the only slight hiccup with our stay was some slow service during breakfast on the second night of our stay. other than that slight blemish the stay was trouble free.

location is good, price is reasonable, so it is ok for business travellers.
casino and other entertainment is not so good, so if you want to enjyoy the macau night life, this hotel is not so suitable. better to chose other bigger hotels.

The breakfast menu in buffet are not good. The lobby staff very strange to the guest and not helpful. The receptionist has made mistaken to accounted of cost during our stayed.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Just go out for casino if you getting bored in your room. Jimei casino just belonging with this building hotel. You never knows, you be lucky :)

the hotel overall is wonderful. the filipino staff were very helpful and even lent us their sim card so we could call home for free. the breakfast is better than most other hotels in this country and certainly satisfying especially since the restaurant has a really nice ambiance, a perfect start for the morning. the resort area is beautiful and the pool is even heated, and has a jacuzzi and a mini golf course. there is no casino, which means, it is much more peaceful and relaxing and not much people who are smoking. the only downside is that the hotel is a bit old and so the bathroom is still like it was back when the hotel started, although renovations are said to be set in the middle of next year. the rooms are old but still in very good condition, and our room even offers a great view of the resort and the nearby sands hotel. it is a bit of a walk to the main areas like lisboa (where the main bus station is) and a bit far from senado square, the best way to get to other places is to take a cab so as not to waste time.
Restaurant Tip:
The streets in between the walk from Lisboa and Grand Lapa are full of local restaurants offering local Chinese cuisine, similar to those found in Hong Kong like roast duck etc., much cheaper than hotel restaurants and definitely tasty. Local drinks are plenty in 7/11 stores. If you want genuine Portuguese food, head to Coloane where you will find the oldest and original Lord Stows egg tart store. Behind the store is a small and elegant Portuguese Restaurant called “Restaurante Espaco Lisboa”. Around the area, you will also find store selling local fruits in season.
