Well-priced alternative in Macaus saturated market
Friendly and helpful staff; good location; reasonable rates
Because this property is managed by The Mandarin Group, one would expect a very high standard of service. Given the property's age (and it is looking a bit tired), the hotel's management and staff do their best to live up to the Mandarin name, with friendly helpful service. Every interaction we had with staff - F&B, poolside, spa, gym, concierge - was a positive experience. One small complaint is that the hotel bar is open only after 6pm, which is odd for a Mandarin Hotel. We would stay there again.

Traditional and Older Hotel
Cheaper, Clean and Tidy
Grand Lapa Macau is part of a Mandarin Group but the hotel is really old and traditional. There is no Free Wi-Fi will be provided in guestroom even the hotel lobby, it is not really convenient and we didn't expect the Mandarin hotel in Macau do not have this service. No more F&B options in the hotel but it is quiet compare with the others in macau because there is no casino to be connected in the hotel. It's good for relaxing, swimming and massage and short-trip.

Clean central and expensive
Average because very over prized for what you get seems like a 3 star hotel you can get much better value for 50% less

Good Concierge
Concierge, Checkin, Big Room
Although it is a very old hotel. I do not know really...but looks like one. I was impressed with the big size of the room. The checkin was smooth and the concierge was very helpful and professional. Checkout the guy managed to make me start to loose my temper. i do not know if he meant it but what i understood was that he was asking me to get my own luggage down. Then it took him some time to figure out my account details and he asked me to give him the deposit slip. I said i do not have it but I am sure that i have left it on the TV counter of the room. He made me go back and get the slip before i could check out. But man i was good i did not loose my temper. On return i did not go to his counter and went to a very helpful girl where it was managed swiftly. Overall if you are not looking for a modern room and want to get away from the crowded hotels, this can be an option.
