Mom & Daughter Bonding - Rosan & Sandy Samson
The hotel's spa is the best!
8
My daughter and I had a great bonding time together at this hotel. We really enjoyed our time at the spa which is so reasonably priced given the nice buffet set up with lots of fruits, free use of the sauna, steam bath, wireless internet and maximum stay of 8 hours enjoying all these. We stayed until 2 am! Another thing that we appreciated is the hotel's location which is very close to the airport. Given the hotel's very efficient shuttle service going to and from Macau proper to visit some of their tourist spots is not really a problem. Overall, we had a great time at the Grand Waldo Hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
Fernando's is a must go restaurant. Don't miss it.

Good but not the best location
8
It´s a good hotel with nice prices and service, the staff is english speking and easy to talk with. To bad the location is not the best, but in a year when the big casino/resort(Galaxy) opens it´s going to be easyer to attract guests to the hotel. Also, Venetian and the(soon to be) big casino street is not so far away. The breakfast need to be a bit bigger(more range), but i´m not a big eater so for me it was ok.

Good Value for Airport
Modern, Clean, Good shuttle service
8
We had an early morning flight from Macau airport and needed somewhere to stay nearby for the night before. This was the best value option we found on Agoda. Hotel was modern and clean and good value for money. Location was a bit isolated but the shuttle bus service was very good and we used it to get to the main attractions. Early morning checkout and getting a taxi to the airport was no problem at all - staff very helpful. We would definitely stay here again next time in Macau.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Used various casino shuttle buses to get around.

macau detached from the city
good priced, affordable store within the premises,
polite staff
7.7
We had a quiet stay in this hotel. It is away from the lights & action of central Macau. The casino is in the next building, so the noise, smoking, gambling crowd are rarely detected. There is a spa in the next building that markets a family experience. This may be the reason why the hotel has a more restful and wholesome appeal. Breakfast vouchers can be upgraded to lunch or dinner for a price. Dinner is a far cry from the spartan breakfast

Grand Waldo hotel is refreshing for the western tourist. its staff are courteous and friendly. Most speak good English and are able to assist. Housekeeping staff too speak English so this is a bonus. Breakfast buffet is a rushed affair but adequate although not up to the standard of this class of hotel. Rooms modern but lighting could be better.

Good value
Hotel is new, clean. Rooms are a good size and bathrooms well equipped.

Overall good value. Rooms nice and beds comfortable although the rooms are a bit dark and trying to read at night may be a problem. Staff speak English which is becoming a rarity in Macau.

The Waldo Experience
Great Chilled Out Casino, Hospitable Staff, Great Pool, Fantastic Nightclubs, Good Breakfast,Very good Rooms....
8.3
Great Place to just unwind and have a great time. Good Rooms with a great Macau Bridge view. The Casino and other facilities such as the Jacuzzi, Pool are very easily accessible. The Grand Waldo has one of the best jacuzzi's in the whole of Macau City. Would definetly visit there once again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Macau Tower, D2 Nightclub and the Restaurant Litoral for Authentic Macinese - Portugese Food.

Grand Waldo
Nice room, walk-in shower with separate tub, requested an iron as well as a transformer to convert 220 to 110; snack shop in lobby; nice excercise room.
7.3
I had a nice experience at the Grand Waldo. I stayed there to be fairly close to the City of Dreams site and feel it was a good choice-especially for the money. The lobby was pleasant, my request for an iron and a transformer was taken care of right away and I had a non-smoking room which was a plus. It's not a charming area at this point and I wasn't thrilled with the breakfast buffet. In addition, the Japanese restaurant in the hotel seems to be closed - which was a disapointment. Overall a good experience though and I would stay here again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Power is 220 - if you have 110 items (those for US for instance) you need a transformer that the hotel can provide - not just a adapter.
