Quiet location, good for relaxing holidays. Too isolated, no shuttle bus to airport.
When checked in the room temperature was down too low. The towels seem too old, kind of like 3 star hotel standard. I had twin bed instead of one big bed. The hotel is situated too isolated from anywhere, but for people who wants quiet holidays, it's a good place. When I originally made the booking, the agoda page didn't show that it is a twin bed room, it only indicated that it was a standard room. When I checked in, I wanted to change to a single big bed, but it was all booked out. Although I was changed to a harbor view room, but again that was a twin bed room. That was my first dissapointment, who would want to stay in a twin bed if you are travelling alone, especially in a 5 star hotel.
When I first went in the room, it was very cold, the air condition was turned down to minimum with fan turned on full.
The towels look old and the carpet has a stain and fringes extented out.
The gown seem to be very old as well.
It is strange that they give you only minimum facial tissues instead of a full box. It's a refillable box, just fill it up till it looks a bit full.
On the last day, I didn't feel well so I extended my checkout, but I was charged the full day price of what I originally paid for from Agoda.
I don't think I will be coming back again unless there's an improvement.
Shopping Tip : You can buy cheap drinking water and food from the shop on the Ground level, don't buy from the restaurant, very expansive.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Waldo Hotel. The hotel is very near the airport, very clean, the staff at the front desk speaks English well so its easy to communicate. Room service is also fast and efficient. The hotel location though is quite far from the tourist spots.Its expensive to go around the city from the hotel because the only means of transportation is by taxi. Breakfat food is not so good as well. No Airport pick up service Our stay at Grand Waldo Hotel overall is a wonderful experience. Both me and my husband was satisfied with the hotel room, its clean and the view from our window facing the harbor was very relaxing. Their staff was courtous and since they can speak English well, they are helpful in giving us directions in everywhere that we want to go. Breakfast buffet though is not good, they serve almost the same type of food everyday. We also enjoyed their swimming pool and gym. We will definitely come back and stay at Grand Waldo Hotel when there's a chance.

The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. The staff, especially, the concierge are very helpful. The dinner and the breakfast are not the quality of the 5-star hotel. The shuttle bus to the Macau ferry should start the service at 8.00 a.m. onwards. 10.00 a.m. is too late. The hotel rooms look nice and clean and it is fully equipped with everything we need. It's too bad that we could not get the rooms with the connecting door even though we had stated on our special request since we booked the hotel. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. All the facilities are great. My husband and my father in law enjoyed the casino so much. The location is closed to the Venetian and the airport and it is convenient and cost saving to use the hotel shuttle bus to/from the Macau Ferry Terminal. The Cons are:
- The quality of the food both breakfast and dinner buffet are not quite good. It's not the quality of food of the 5-star hotel.
- The shuttle bus to Macau Ferry Terminal should start earlier, let say, at 8.00 a.m. onwards.
- Some of the staff should improve their English language skill and hospitality.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It is convenient and cost saving to use the hotel shuttle bus to the Macau Ferry Terminal as from there you can conveniently take the Turbo Jet to Hong Kong or go to some other tourist attractions in Macau City, for example, the Macau Fisherman's Whalf, Senado Square, Grand Lisboa, etc.
The hotel is also quite close to the Venetian and the City of Dream. From the airport, you can take the Venetian Shuttle bus to the Venetian, leave your luggage at the main lobby and take your time at the Venetian and maybe walk across the street to the City of Dream, the new entertainment complex.

Affordable, and nice, it has a casino, and lots of resto the place has the feeling that it has been there for a long time We stayed in venetian hotel on our first night and moved to Grand Waldo hotel on the 2nd night. It is just accross the venetian, making it very accesible. The price is half compared to the venetian, with complete 5 star amenities. I enjoyed my stay there though i lost a lot of money in the casino

The hotel rooms are very nice, tidy and clean. The service that provided by the hotel staff is really very nice, they are very polite, helpful and willing to solve problems of the hotel guests. The location is good where you can travel to other places very conveniently. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel.

The room rate book through Agoda was the best value for money for a 5 star hotel The casino needs renovation as the table cushions re too worn out. To use the gym the guest needs to pay and entrance fees of HK 188. The room rate offers value for money for a 5 star hotel.The casino needs a major renovation as the furnishing is old and well worn out. The quality of food offer at the cafe seems to have gone down and also the spread remains unchange for regular visitor. Usage for the gym should be free for hotel guests.

All in one hotel!! on a very affordable price!
The place is a 5 star hotel but the price of 3 star maybe because of the location(Taipa). The Buffet restaurant is not that special and the other restaurants are quite expensive. In short, a very good value for money.

Hotel rate and location convenience. Room card that did not work on two different occasions. The hotel was up to standard, rates were reasonably affordable when booked online. Breakfast was simply great too especially when the hotel charges the rate which comes with a B&B thingy. Really enjoyed my one day stay at Grand Waldo and would love to return when i visit Macau.

Room too small in Macau.
When I order the room Service, the food only cover with the plastic wrapping paper(no cover at all), three plate a dish just stuck in one tray.
next day the breakfast in cafe, I can't found any fried egg, when I ask the manager, he replied we don't serve any fried egg, when I insisted we need two order of fried egg, he say he will try, after few minutes, he just bring me one plate of two fried egg, what can I say? If the hotel is far away the down town, need to add more facilitate(such the TV game, snooker..), nothing for the childred.The buffet breakfast need to improve, it's not worth HK$100.

The Grand Waldo Hotel has nice furnishings, cozy and spacious rooms. The room is comfortable and we were given a sea view room which made our stay more delightful. The staff were very friendly and provided good service. So its really good value for our money. Taxi services can be improved since there is a long qeue for taxis. The food in the buffet breakfast and lunch needs a lot of improvement since the food is bland and there are not many choices. All in all, we had a pleasant stay at Grand Waldo hotel Taipa (Macau). I love our room for it is both stylish and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and service oriented. Booking through Agoda was great since we got really good rates for the room. It is really good value for our money and we will definitely book thru Agoda in the future.
Hotel Feature Tip : The rooms are nice and comfortable and with the good rates we got from Agoda, everything is jut great!

Spa for wife and kids too. It was way out. even though it looks near to Venetian but it's actually a very long walk away, and Taxi at the Grand Waldo is very rare. The gaming room is just like dead with like 30 player

6 Storey Spa which allows kids. Rooms I expected cleaner and more modern, small bathroom, ours was a superior room. This is the cheapest 5 star hotel, but for me I thought more like 4 star. The hotel pool and gym are small unlike any other 5 star hotel around macau. If you would like to check it out maybe the best is to check yourself into the spa. The price incl complimentary buffet, shower, use of all the dipping spa, use of their own gym and pool ( as hotel guest you still have to pay the entrance fee ), a bed for you to use ( a partitioned bunk ). All this for 12hrs and you can extend $15p/h. You can also leave and come back each time $15hk. For me next time I will check my family into the Spa, forget about staying in the hotel.

Has everything you would need in a hotel, and good quality. Gym, spa, food and casino were all great. Noticably caters to the China market compared to other hotels in the area. The casino is a bit small but enjoyable. I really liked my stay there. I was a bit concerned when the lobby staff didn't seem to be comfortable in English, and the entrance was a bit flashy as well as a pool right in back of the lobby. The TV intro of the hotel did seem to be something out of my stays in China. But all in all, it is a great place for 5 star quality without the 5 star cost.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There aren't many hotels with a bar. I thought the bar was good enough as any other. Venetian and Hardrock is within walking distance or minutes away on taxi.

if in night it just can go to hotel by taxi. THE hotel staff is nice.. they are very helpful and poliet , i enjoy their service very much , the hotel breadfast is not good. it just have a little kind of food, anyway, the price of this hotel is cheap, is a nice choice to live!!

Lovely large rooms, with lots of space to move. Staff pleasant and helpful Breakfast could do with some improving Grand Waldo a very nice hotel, rooms very spacious and comfortable, good bathrooms. Far enough away from the madding crowd to be quiet but close enough to still enjoy. Staff pleasant and helpful, although our room was not ready when we arrived at 5pm. Breakfast could be improved, fresh fruit instead of tinned would be a start.
