-The location of the hotel was a major PLUS PLUS point. It wasn't in the middle of the famous hotel strip but it was very near (walkable distance) the famous Macau's Senado Square, Ruins & the big hotels- Wynn! - Reception was very helpful!

Maybe it was just our unlucky day, Our comfort room in our room was clogged.

Holiday Inn Macau was referred to me by my friends who has a lot of nice words for Holiday Inn. I was so satisfied with my 3 days 2 nights accomodations. The free shuttle was a plus points and I didn't have a hard time looking for the shuttle bacause of the color of the bus although the shuttle was quite small compared to the hotel giants. It was situated near an ATM Machine for quick and emergency withdrawal, a 7-11 convenience store for midnight snack. Staff at the Lobby was very, very helpful and accomodating. In fact, I followed what the reception told me. The food addict in me asked for the BEST egg tart and Portuegese Restraurant and indeed, I was so satisfied and I am cravinf for it now again. The location to the main strip of the hotel giants was not so far. You won't get lost as long as you follow the map. I would surely recommend this hotel to anyone who's on the look out for Budget friendly and a very helpful staff combined and to backpackers who would travel to Macau for the first time.

Restaurant Tip : Try Margaret's Egg Tarts!!!- Must eat at Macau before you go to Senado Square. A quick stop over at this place!:D

nice location, accessible to public transport and shuttle to ferry, border, etc nearby restaurants, convenience stores english speaking and accomodating frontdesk, also, with filipino employees

the room we stayed in is kinda small since we requested for an extra bed; the aircondition seems not working well, the temp is already at 10C but the room is not that cool; no shuttle services and free wifi

We arrived in Macau airport at around 2pm, just on time for our check-in at Holiday Inn hotel, we rode a taxi and its a good thing that the driver is familiar with the hotel. I showed the agoda voucher to the front desk but unfortunately, I was told in a nice way that we don't have a confirmed booking and they will get in touch with Agoda, we waited for 30 min before we were finally given a room, we're lucky that its a weekday ( wed) so the hotel is not fully booked the location is very nice, near famous casinos like the wynn, starworld, mgm, grand lisboa.. get a free ride in their shuttles and you can go venezia, city of dreams. There's a bus stop in front of the hotel, so you can easily go the ruins, cathedral and do your shopping for souvenirs and macau delicacies esp the famous portuguess tart. I will definitely recommend Holiday Inn to my friends

Affordable and easy to roam around the city.

some tile have stains at the bathroom.

we had a great time staying at holiday inn in the rua de pequim street at macau. it is close to a bus stop and to the macau ferry terminal and a walking distance from various money changer and convenient stores. the room is cozy but the tiles at the bathroom have stains but the rest is okay. they have cable but only 1 channel have english language the rest its all in chinese so for the foreigners who don't understand chinese good luck with that. the employee/crew at the hotel are friendly and mostly filipinos. they also have shuttle going to ferry terminal for free. the whole experience in the hotel is okay and i will stay again at that hotel whenever i will come back.

Hotel Feature Tip : ask for the concierge to translate the name of the place where you are going to give it to the taxi driver.

Very convinient location

None

Holiday Inn is located very close to all the happening places in Macau Island. They had a free shuttle service to the ferry terminal which was a real plus. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The rooms were spacious and the beds were pretty big. Most of the big casinos like MGM Grand, Wynn, Grand Lisboa are all nearby within a short walking distance. While the casino within our hotel was not that happening and there were very few players.

Shopping Tip : Try the Senado Square for shopping clothes, etc. which is just 5 mins away by taxi

Location is good. Holiday Inn is located near famous hotels. The gym and swimming pool are very clean and new.

The severvice is not good. Loby is full of smoke.

The severvice is not good. When we arrived in Hotel and got off the taxi. Nobody came to us to carry our luggages. The loby is full of smoke. I can barely breath. Everyone in the hotel are not very friendly. I think I won't be in Macau and Holiday Inn of Macau again.

The rooms are well-appointed. The matress was firm to our liking. Always someone at the front doors to open for you, especially nice when arms and hands are full. Concierge's always took time to be helpful.

While it's ok to respectfully approach staff about errors, it's not ok for staff, including management, to treat the paying customers with less then respect. DEFINITLY NEEDS IMPROVEMENT! By the way, the hotel staff said that the different room they were giving us was on a non-smoking floor, which is what we asked for however, we smelled nothing but smoke everytime we left our room! DEFINITLY NEEDS IMPROVEMENT! I found I disliked my experience here.

The hotel gave our confirmed superior room (king bed) to someone else before we arrived, and we did not arrive late. Next, the staff couldn't find our reservation, so the hotel voucher was of no use. We waited forty minutes before they finally gave us a room. Then the hotel staff charged our room for movies and a coffee cup, which was incorrect. We didn't order a movie and housekeeping only put out one coffee cup in the room. Suddenly the front desk staff could no longer help correct this matter, needing some form of management instead. This took twenty-five minutes for the staff to figure out they couldn't handle the matter, and another six minutes for management to explain to me the same thing that staff earlier spoke! In the end, management corrected our invoice, though not done in a nice business manner. Too bad! This hotel not only lost our business for any trips in the future, but we will pay more to stay at better hotels, as we will never stay at any Holiday Inn Hotel again!

Hotel is located right in the city and within walking distance to everythings

It is very old and smell bad. It is also too small for 3 persons to share the same room.

The good things about this hotel is that it closes to everything, Wynn, MGM, Lisboa, and the World Heritage Site. All are within walking distance. Price is also reasonable is you booked in advance for the weekday stay. If you book through hotel website, they charge you 300 HKD extra from the 3rd person. Thanks to Agoda, no extra charge for 3rd person. However, it is very old and smell very bad. There is odor in the toilet and carpet. You could easily find another better hotel for the same range of price somewhere else.

Restaurant Tip : There is no 24 hours restaurant in the hotel.

good location and a clean room

an expensive internet connection service

It's my first trip to Macau, stay in this hotel, i can reach my destination very soon and there are many stores near the hotel i can buy anything. The only thing that i felt not so good is that the fee of internet connection service is too expensive, 2hr/HK$ 80.

Roomy, Clean and Spacious Room, At the City Center, Shuttle to and from Ferry Terminal, LCD TVs

Old Furnished, No Shuttle to the Airport, No Breakfast

The room is spacious (I took twin beds 160x200cm and 120x200cm) enough to accommodate two adults and two kids (9 and 3 yrs old). I even got a free upgrade to Suite at 27th floor, because the Deluxe room was full. The furnishing felt old fashioned but clean. The location at the City center near to favorite locations like Senado Square and Ruins of St. Paul. Shuttel only available from and to Ferry Terminal before 10 PM, no shuttle to Airport (but there's free shuttle from Ferry Terminal to Venetian Resort, and free shuttle from Venetian to Airport).

Shopping Tip : The best shopping spot for souvenirs is between Senado Square and Ruins of St. Paul.

The hotel is inexpensive and has just been renovated. the hotel is located close to all of the main casinos. The entire staff speaks english well and is very friendly. has a shuttle bus from the ferry.

the hotel lobby has a large colgne smell at all times. It is the perfume of the hotel but is somewhat strong

The Holiday INN Macau is a good hotel. I find that is located in a great area of the city and is half the price of the larger hotels. The rooms are spacious and there is a good amount of western food to choose from. There is a shuttle bus waiting for you at the ferry, but is somewhat hard to find. The shuttle runs from the hotel very often, but i recomend that you catch an early bus for the ferry, for the bus sits about 20 minutes in front of the hotel. Overall this hotel is worth the money and should be considered on your next trip to Macau.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Macau has very little places to go site seeing. I find that if you are not gambling you are not doing much in Macau. There is an old fort and Musem to see. There is also an old Church worth seeing, but after the 2 hours you do this, you will be back at the table gambling.

friendly staff, central location, clean and spacious

low ceiling, no cozy bar for a night cup, restaurant so-so

The most outstanding feature was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Any question asked, any favour asked they were sure to do their best to help. The restaurant, however, was the typical Holiday Inn food processing place which did not invite to stay and enjoy a meal. Consequently we stayed only for breakfast which was ample and again with attentive, friendly staff (too bad - at such a location - that they did not have freshly pressed orange juice) All in all a hotel worthwhile picking - for your drinks and dinner you tend to go somewhere else, anyway!

Restaurant Tip : go to Fernando's! unpretentious restaurant with great food, fantastic service and value for money!

Clean. The single bed can accommodate two people (ladies).

Not much variety for the dinner buffet.

The hotel is suitable for group of teenagers as well as family. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The location is good enough and convenient is you would like to visit the famous casino in Macau. The price is reasonable if compare to other hotel in Hong Kong and Macau as the room is quite spacious and comfortable. The only thing that need to improve is the dining. They should provide more varieties of food for the dinner buffet as I pay for it. But, I suggest to have meal outside the hotel as there are lots of delicious and tasty food around Macau.

Shopping Tip : A lot of shops around the hotel include boutiques, restaurants, souvenirs shop.

Good location and easy to find the place to eat out.

Room is very small, compared to the rate I paid.

The hotel is quite old and need to be decorated if they want to keep the rate as same as what i paid. The service is normal. Only thing i like is the location, where you can find many good places to eat out within walking distance...
