Location was excellent and the rooms were big roomy and spacious so a really hotel overall. The staff were also very helpful to get me a double bed on day 2.
The restaruant has poor food but you can go outside.
Great hotel and we had it for cheap aswell as we booked it in time. The staff helped us with directions and with the sights to see. The clean room and lovely shower was great. It is a nice place to spend the weekend.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go up the hill to the light house

Small Rooms
Generally speaking this is a good hotel for the money. If you just want a cheap clean bed, then this is a good choice in Macau. The front desk is more than happy to call for a taxi. The room is small, but contain all you need for a comfortable stay, it's clean and comfortable.
Hotel Feature Tip : Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Nice and hard working reception girls in the counters, they did their best to sort the incredible mess
Freezing cold rooms without heating, and the hardest back breaking beds in Asia, the best whorehouse in Macao at the basement (Playmates disco), not a good location to bring a severely ill wife for a peaceful holiday
Horrible experience, Guia Hotel is the worst of both worlds, Macao and HK on the one hand and Mainland China on the other. A completely unempathic and almost abnormal Manager tried to solve, in a typical mainland Chinese thirld world manner, our complaints about lack of heating /13 degrees plus 94% humidity. It is a typical thirld world mainland China hotel, personnel do not speak good English, they would prefer an arm chopped instead of offering apologies, the hotel is a 24 Majong den, with the "best" prostitutes in Macao (an excellent and cheap option if you are male and come alone, not a good location for my 58 year old, severely ill wife), as well as the hardest beds in China. The location is good, provided you are able to get a taxi to see places, you will get, in the typical thirld world mainland Chinese continental manner the most bizarre elusive and procrastinating explanations, this means in this hotel you are at you own risk. A completely and absolute disaster, it is not value for money as there are a plethora of European and American options for this money that would offer quality and empathy, two things lacking in this hotel. Macao was a great location for holydays in the past, but now you can feel the hand of Mao Tse Tung style customer attention, this is no attention and a horrible one hour discussion to get a humble small heater and two bed covers. In sum, take it out from your offers for your own good
Travel tip : The best whorehouse in Asia, according to HOTEL ads, "for 45 pacatas you can see a Western women naked" in Playments disco (basement of Guia Hotel)!!! This simple statement will offer you a clear picture of the hard beds and freezing cold rooms of Guia Hotel
