nice location, restaurants nearby are open till very late

room doesn't have a view

Metropark Hotel Macau met my expectations. It is value for money for the amount that you are paying. The room is clean and you are given free 15 minute internet access everyday. It is within walking distance to major downtown hotels like the Rio, Wynn, Hotel Lisboa and Grand Lisboa. You will feel safe walking at night from the hotels with casinos to Metropark Hotel. The streets in Macau are well lit. There are a lot of restaurants that open till 1 or 2 am. You will never go hungry.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are too lazy to walk and do not want to bother with going to the ferry terminal to transfer to another bus to go to a hotel like Sands, just take the cab. Macau is very small so the cab fare is relatively cheap. Just don't ride the taxi to the Venetian/Cotai strip.

it's in the heart of city, great food, spacious room that suits your budget and hospitable staff though most of then can't speak english. with spa and indoor pool. room is clean and well lighted

no shuttle service provided for guest going back to airport. most of the staff can't speak english so we have to use sing language limited cable channel available

macau is a small place but full of suprises especially at night. though we prefer hotel with no casino, we enjoy going to casinos nearby. its amazing, you feel like your in vegas. hotel is great. great food, comfortable room, friendly staff and of course my favorite, with indoor pool and small gym. (though i wasn't able to use it due to time constraint) but overall our stay in macau is a tremendous experience.i will recommend this hotel to my friends and if by chance i will go back to macau, i will stay with the same hotel where you can rest after a day of shopping and nightlife with serenety.

Shopping Tip : pls don't let go out of macau without going to sau paolo. this place is small but every street has a lot of stores for shopping. there are also other shopping centers nearby

Shuttle bus service from the ferry terminal. Room is of nice size with spacious toilet.

Bed is super hard.. not just firm

Hotel is quite centrally located within Macau city and within walking distance to bigger casinos like Starworld and Grand Lisboa. Metropark does not have a casino within its premises thus does not have shuttle bus services to other locations like border gate etc. However to get ard, its still near enough to other bigger hotels to make use of their free shuttle bus services, alternatively, the hotel is behind the main road where bus service no. 3 will ply.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : To get around or to the other hotels, make use of the free shuttle bus service. Save a lot of money.

Best feature is the location. Very near macau's tourist spots, very accessible to public transportation and shops and restaurants.

Rooms is not that big and toiletries are very limited. You have to bring your own shaver since the hotel does not provide one.

The Metropark Hotel is one of the few hotels that does not have a casino. With this reason, the hotel is peaceful and serene with only hotel guest present at the lobby. Public transportation is abundant and with the proximity of the hotel to the tourist spots, taxi is quite affordable. It only took us 14.50 MOP from the hotel to Real de Senado. The location of the hotel is a walking distance to all the famous hotel casino's in the area such as The Wyns, MGM Grand and Lisboa.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a cab to city trip. It is quite cheap

No casino inside the Hotel

Far from The Venetian

We booked at MetroPark Hotel thru AGODA that's why we got a big discount and we had no problem in checking in or out. The only downside is the unavailability of a shuttle to the Venetian Hotel. However, the hotel has a shuttle to the Macau Ferry Terminal. However, the hotel is near the other hotels such as Wynn & MGM. Their breakfast is good enough but we have to pay around 14 MOP for a cup of steamed Rice which was not included in their buffet Breakfast set (as we Filipinos can't live without rice.) The staff was very accommodating & helpful. The next time that we'll be going to Macau, we won't hesitate in booking with this hotel again.

Shopping Tip : Look for a shop down the St. Paul Ruins and look for the Filipino salesperson so you would be given a bi discount. If you like adventure like us, try the buses and explore the other places of Macau that other tourists would not usually go to.

Helpful Staff

No Airport-Hotel-Airport Shuttle

Macau was the place we expected it to be- glittering lights all over the City hotels and buildings like the Grand Lisboa, Wynn, MGM, The Venetian, City of Dreams, just to name a few... We were very fortunate to experience the excitement brought about by the Food Festival at the Fisherman's Wharf. We were able to climb the Macau Tower and saw several souls braving the Bungy Jump. We then headed to The St. Paul's Ruins, a Portuguese church (St. Augustine?), the famous, Senado Square, and finally we headed for the Venetian & the Grand Lisboa hotels.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to the Venetian early if you like to try the Gondolas as sometimes they are closed already by 8PM Bring your digital & video cams so you can capture the beauty of the sights...

Great downtown location; Well-appointed rooms; Free shuttle to and from ferry

Undergoing renovations; Somewhat dark and dingy public areas

This hotel, like other Metropark locations, offers reliable rooms and service in a great downtown location. Easy walking distance to restaurants, casinos, and shopping.

Restaurant Tip : The L'Arc Casino offers very inexpensive Chinese meals in the cafe.

1. good counter service in English 2. get rooms as requirements 3. no smoke 4. good for health because of no casino, no pollusion

1. a few kinds of food for breakfast 2. unclear hotel sign

It's good for everyone to stay if you want to relax after travelling. You can sleep deeply, have a sweet dream all nights because of fresh air, quietness, clean bed, good security. Rooms are excellent and suitable with the price but breakfast has to be improved for more kinds of food. Bathroom is clean and in good condition. TV is in good condition with many interesting channels. Hotel location is nearby the city center so you can walk for shopping.

Hotel Feature Tip : When you take a taxi , you must tell a taxi driver in Chinese "Pakking Kai" If you tell the hotel name " Metropark", a taxi driver doesn't know. Don't forget Chinese name.

Rooms are large and toilets have long bath. There are shuttles to and from the Macau Jetty. This is really convenient.

I just found the bed too hard to sleep on!

We stayed in Metropark after 2 nights stay in Hongkong. We can really feel the difference between the room we had in Hongkong and the one in Metropark. The Metropark room is at least 1 1/2 size bigger, toilets are also larger and the rooms are very clean and definitely no musky smell like the one in Hongkong. The front desk officer was very helpful maybe because I can converse in Cantonese. There are restaurants and a 7 Eleven just beside the hotel. Really convenient. We ate one of the "cafe" before leaving for the airport. Food was good.

Restaurant Tip : There are 2-3 restaurants just beside the hotels and at least 2 have been review by TV stations! Remember to bring your hotel "name card" because one of the taxi drivers did not know Metropark in English!!!

Metropark Hotel is located a convenience Macau City Town. It just nearby bus station and walking distance to Casino and hotel provided complimentary buses from Hotel to Macau Ferry Pork. In the hotel also got Travel agency which they can arrange bus from Macau to China. eg. Zhuhai Gongbei, Guangzhu and China. Bus fare only $5 from Hotel to Gongbei Zhuhai. So convenience. Breakfast at hotel not bad and staff are friendly. The hotel is worth for the price and not so expensive. Just beside the hotel got one Chinese restoran with aircon (forgot the name), all the food we order is good and not so expensive. The restorance got live fish and sea food just infront the restoran which you can see. Recomended to go.

Hotel do not have complimentary buses from Hotel to Airport.

Cantonese is the main language in Macau, Internet free for 15 mins. Anywhere is a free for you to use. Hotel was clean, staff friendly and convenience location, housekeeping staff very helpful and clean the room everyday. Receomended for tourist which just nearby the bus stop. Cost $3.20 flat rate for bus ride. The hotel no Casino inside that is a good choice for silence , peace accomodation. Hotel got currency exchange counter if i am not mistaken. HKD and Macau Dollor is mostly use. But recomended change to Macau dollor which the rate is cheaper compare to HKD. Macau dollars & HKD is the currency for many casino's. Really enjoy the Macau tour and many casino privded free complimentary bus from hotel to casino. The City Dream Casino is great and free drink provided and taste good for hot chocolate. Recommended must go to The City Dream Casino, The Sands Casino, Wynn Casino, The Venetian Casino.

Price, Location if your sight seeing, Clean enough, Friendly staff, Good beds (for me), Breakfast bufet good throw in.

Restaurant food awful, avoid.

Chinese hotel catering to Chinese guest, remember this as it's very important. English is second language to the staff (all Chinese as I could tell) Strange policy on internet, they include a ticket for 15 mins. of use and the computer logs you off, no warning just stops. Can you buy more time, I asked but was never answered. (remember above) Hotel was clean, but is showing age, housekeeping staff very helpful, even did some pressing of garments. Location was very good for tourist, not so good for western gamblers, some of the close casino's had no signs in english, so I had to assume they didn't want my lousy US dollars, (I don't much want them either but thats how my retirement comes so I'm stuck there). HKD is the biggie for gamblers, Macau dollars for shopping, altho just pennies different in value. HKD is THE currency for casino's

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Macau is very small city and we had a nice night view of the light house.

Pleasant, helpful staff. Comfortable room. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good location. Reasonable room rate.

Allowing smoking in the dining room. Water leaking around window frame in heavy rain. Disconcerting to see facade of hotel wrapped in green plastic sheeting...not a great first impression.

We enjoyed our stay at the Metro Park Macau. The staff were pleasant and helpful, especially when water leaked into our room during a typhoon. We reported the water, and were immediately offered another room, without even requesting it. The buffet breakfast was very good, but the evening meals in the restaurant were a little expensive. The servings were generous though. They still haven't figured out how to make a real capuccino. The views from the 2 rooms we stayed in were pretty dismal...more or less looking into other surrounding buildings...draw the curtains and all is good! The rooms are well sound proofed, and it is a quiet place to stay. Overall, I would say that it is definitely good value, especially if you can get the buffet breakfast included in the room rate. I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
