The hotel is a reasonably priced accomodation, with clean bathrooms, standard facilities. Would be better if the staff are a bit friendlier, and would be able to communicate better in English. Would be helpful if they could also inform guests of the availability of shuttle buses, for transportation to and from the hotel, to other hotels and/or spots in Macau.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I learned thru my friend that when they stayed in Holiday Inn last month, the front office personnel were very helpful in informing them where to go, what places to visit, and value-for-money restaurants

Service is not good. We were at the lobby waiting for your companions and I was asking for a chair for my Mom to sit since all their chairs were already taken. The reception just simple said he couldn't give one when there were a lot of empty chairs inside their restaurant which is just beside the lobby.

Good Location of Hotel, close to central of shopping center. Condition of hotel room is average. The bed is too hard. Television channel is not complete. Also if possible change to LCD TV. Other thing is No facilities like swimming pool and business center for internet connection.

Good Trip
Location
Hotel bus to ferry terminal

There are two reasons that i chose this hotel. First, Location of the hotel is very good to go around Macau sach as Senado Square, St. Poul and Macau Towel. Second, There are many food shops and restaurants that nears the hotel. I think if i come to Macau again i'll choose this hotel for sleeping.

Metropole Hotel, Macau
Very good location; just round the corner from the "famous" square; shuttle bus from hotel to ferry terminal.

On arrival I presented the hotel voucher from Agoda, but the booking couldn't be traced. The one guy tried to ask me whether I made the reservation that day, and was quite taken aback when I said no. The two men at the counter were talking in Chinese, totally ignoring me, and the form that I had to sign was just shoved under my nose, without a word spoken. I really felt guilty of something but I couldn't figure out what I was guilty of! After the first night in a room on the 7th floor, I requested to be moved to another room because on the one side of the room was the noisy street, and on the 8th floor there was some renovations going on with hammering that went right through my whole being (OK, the hammering only started in the morning, but when you want to sleep in, and after you requested on your booking form "a room in a quiet area of the hotel", hammering is not acceptable). I moved to a room on the 5th floor, but had to wait till after 2 pm, and even then the room wasn't ready, so more waiting was to come... The room was clean, bed was very hard (like all/most beds in China are), not even complimentary water in the mini-bar, and a long list of TV channels of which only about 4 did not have a "scrambled image". And even in that room, far away from the street, I was still aware of the building noises. At that stage I said to myself that had I known about the renovations, I would not have booked a room there. I did not visit any restaurant in the hotel, but they must be good because there were usually lots of people coming and going into and out of the restaurants when I was somewhere near the lobby. In the end the stay was OK, mainly because of the location of the hotel: near to everything worth seeing.

Overall Good
The hotel is located in the center of the city. You will only take a few minutes to walk to all the historical places. Room is full equiped with basic requirement.
6.7
Generally, the hotel is a good choice for tourist because of its location. It is near to all the tourist places including casino. You can easily find some food to eat around even at the midnight. Besides, the receiptionists are helpful and kind. Finally, the cleaniness of the hotel should be improve like cleaning the rooms on time as well as make sure the rooms are totally free from dust.

Metropole
Value for money hotel in Macau centre
6.7
this is a very good value for money hotel located pretty close to the macau casinos like MGM , Lisboa, Wynn. Room size and cleanliness could be improved as well as other amenities to the room like a better TV and a Western restaurant at the hotel would serve the travellers better.
