good hotel rates, short walking distance to historical sites
There is no great bang for the buck here. Dont expect a terrific place to stay when you are not paying the big bucks. However, if you are looking for an OK place to stay and you dont want to spend too much, this is it. The room I had looked worn. The wood on the furniture, the bed, and the bathroom all look like they need to be replace/remodeled. Not a place I would go if I was travelling w/ a spouse, family or significant other. If you are by yourself and dont rather care for an up-to-date room, this is the place for you. Also, exit the hotel and make 2 lefts, you will find a Mcdonalds and some historical sites.

tidy room, good location - close to many tourist spots
the front desk was not really helpful.
i looked for some info about the laser show in "the bubble" at "the city of dream" but the guy received my call at the front desk just told me he didn't know. no intention to check for the guest at all. i got the answer unless i asked them to check for me in the 2nd call. besides, no smile at all each time i passed the counter.
Hotel Feature Tip : u're better to bring ur own slippers as those provided by the hotel are of poor quality. thin like paper!

The location is perfect which close to everything.
Breakfast at hotel is worst.
This hotel is a perfect location which very close to Senado square, bus station and the amusment places. This room is new for renovation. This is a good idea to tell to staff that you need a non-smoking zone. So, you will get a renovate room. Staffs are very helpful when you ask the place to go and they will write the place you want to go in Chinese word so, you can tell to bus driver.
Shopping Tip : Sanado just behine the hotel.

Very good location. Clean & convenience room. Conciage staff was very courtesy.
The location is very good, at the central of city, near to Grand Emperor Hotel & Grand Lisboa Hotel. The room is very clean and quite big. Hotel's staffs were good and courtesy, especially conciage staff, he provide very good information for us. There is a Chinese Restaurant at Gd floor food was Ok and not so expensive.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Can take shuttle bus to City of Dreams to experience the Dragon's Treasure show at the Bubble.

The Location was very close to Senado Square
This is the first time that we been to Macau, and stay in Metropole Hotel, the lhotel situated very close to Senado square, we can walk only 5 minutes to ther. The reception was very helpfull. That very good that they had the transfer free service from the pier to Hotel. Room a quite small but it resonable for this price.

Location! Location! Location! the service was good and informative from the front office staff. Near St.Paul monument- a must see place in Macau. the Best is got Shuttle Bus from the hotel to various part of the Island. The room was large and clean.
The Price is a bit Expensive but we went there at Peak season.
The Lobby is a bit small.
Well, when I arrived at the front hotel.. I was doubted about the room in this hotel but I was wronged.
When I entered the floor that I was staying, the floor carpet and ceiling was well maintained. And the room is excellent with great showroom and good LCD TV. I was well satisfied with what i bought . And thanks to Agoda for the great informations and graphic of rooms and etc. I will definitely come back for this hotel the next Macau trip ......Chao!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Near to St. Paul Monument and great shopping around the area. Look for great food when I walked along the path to St Paul. And great Local Product for gifts.......

Value for money. Near Senado square and transportation.
Have to wait every half hour for the shuttle bus to arrive.
We chose Metropole hotel because we were looking for a value for money hotel that has a free shuttle bus plus it's near tourist attractions. We didn't eat in the hotel since there were restos around the area. Staff was okay & the room we stayed in was clean. We brought along our own luggage w/c is what we wanted. They allowed us to leave our luggage after we checked out so that we could still travel around Macau.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Metropole hotel is very near Senado Square. Just a 5 minute walk.

Very strategically located around everything that is interesting. Hotel staff is helpful providing useful info, do ask them for any help. Room is rather small but adequate. Bathroom is good and clean. Did not try the restaurant so cannot comment on the food. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Macau next time.
Room will feel stuffy and damp if aircond is set to low. Need to maintain constant medium or high settings, then is not a problem.
Excellent locality to most of the famous places to visit, though hotel is a bit old. Very convenient as they have bus shuttle from HK-Macau ferry terminal (half hour interval), can get there from airport via bus AP1. If via taxi is ~20mins, fare < MOP70. Minutes walk from Senado Square, St Paul's, and the surrounding shops/eateries. Do try the 'siong pei lai' and pork chop bun at the coffee shops ard Senado square, delicious :). Not to forget almond cookies, walnut cookies, and other types of cookies when walking towards St Paul, the famous shop is Koi Kei (they have 3 shops along that short narrow road!!). Do try the various free samples from many other shops before deciding, excellent as gifts. To reach there, turn left when exiting hotel. Turn left at traffic junction and walk straight ~3mins. Senado square is just opposite the road on the right, can't miss it! Free bus shuttle to City of Dreams, located near the Hotel Grand Emperor and Hotel Grand Lisboa vicinity, which is a few minutes walk from hotel.
Restaurant Tip : There's a shop selling something like curry 'yong tau foo' just opposite the hotel, near the traffic light intersection. Opens noon till 1.30am. Delicious.

Clean
Central
Some rooms have free internet
No breakfast in booking deal
expensive for this standard
Hotel is neat and clean. Rooms have LCD TV. Good Chinese restaurant. Other cheap restaurants abound near hotel and the is a McDonald and Pizza Hut around the corner.
Hotel in in central area with shopping and casinos nearby.
This is considered a budget hotel but at is expensive by S/E Asian standards for it's class; as is the cost of food and services
Hotel Feature Tip : Laundry comes back wrapped as if bought brand new. Not cheap but very nice

big room, very close to attractions
BAD service, no breakfast included in the rate, no double bed, pretty old hotel
The hotel is quite old but still in good shape and clean. The room is big but a bit too dark.
During my check out, I had to wait there in front of the counter for about half an hour. It seems the staffs didn't know how to manage who came first.
Well, I would say: if you don't really get a good price at this hotel, try find somewhere else.

Great location. 3-5 min walking distance to Senado Square.
Clean room.
Worth the price.
The hotel was great for the price we paid. The location is great - very near to Senado Square (3-5 min walk) and near 7-11 and new yaohan (the shopping mall). Also near to bus stop (located opposite to Senado Sq.) where many routes pass by including the bus to Zhuhai border which takes only about 15 mins. Clean room and bed sheets although bathroom is a little bit old. The staff are nice and helpful too.
Restaurant Tip : There's a famous Portugese style restaurant just opposite to the hotel (Restaurant Solmar) but unfortunately we didn't have a chance to try.

The location is perfect, very close to Senado square and St.Paul ruin. Many shops and restaurant near by.
Manager speaks english but not very fluent.
Don't have so much service mind.
They provided shuttle bus but may be hard to find from the macau ferry, it's co-share with other 3 hotels.
On the first night we've got the room in the middle of building, without window its smell was really bad. Every corner in the room is humid and wet so we 've try to change the room but the manager not very helpful. The other room is OK (we stay 2 rooms for 2 nights), So first night is terrible we have to force them to get the new room with window. Believe me! Do check before you check in wheter your room is the bad one or not.
Once you get in there, they just don't care cause I guess they'd never slept in that room.
Restaurant Tip : The noodle restaurant in Senado is really good.
