Golden location
Good location
It's easy for shopping since it is located at the golden area in downtown. In additional, the price is, to certain degree, lower than the others at the same location. However, there's no other special here.

Ideal location for first timers
Near the mall and Senado Square
Ideal location for Macau first timers. We opted to stay in this hotel even though it was our second time to visit Macau because it is near Senado Square, Ruins, money changers, mall, etc. You can just walk around with just using your map and a little research prior arrival. Hotel has also free shuttle bus to and from Ferry Terminal. There's also 2 free hotel bus just in front of Metropole if you want to go to other Casinos. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good location with small but decent clean rooms
Good friendly staff service, clean rooms, close proximity to shopping and tourist sightseeing spots
The hotel was undergoing some renovation during my stay (until Jan 2013), so there were some unavoidable noise disruptions during the day, but they always made sure that all work are ceased after 6pm onwards. The breakfast buffet is pretty simple fare (for MOP$ only), don't expect anything fancy. The beds may be a bit hard if you're used to the springy mattress type, but it was comfortable enough for me. Staff are friendly, willing to point out areas and places to check out, and always ready to greet with smiles. If you're after a simple, no-fuss, no-casino-distraction stay, this is a good hotel.

nothing good to say. Beds were very uncomfortable and had to change room twice.

Just ok
the room is small, but price high. NOT go there during spring festival unless booked rooms two month earlier. By the way, location is OK

Great location but small room
Really nearby the scenic spots
Although the hotel room is small, but the hotel really nearby the scenic spots. Walk about 5 minute from the hotel then we can reach the scenic spots (i.e. The Ruins of St. Paul's). The hotel also surrounds by various type of shops such as restaurants, souvenir shops and bakery shops (i.e. Choi Heong Yuen Bakery).

Conveniently located, but a little bit old
Right in the center of downtown Macau, easy access to everywhere
Metropole Hotel is conveniently located right in the center of downtown Macau. Major tourist attractions and business centers are within walking distance. However, the hotel itself is a little bit old and the rooms are not as elegant as some of the new hotels within casino complex. Service is OK but don't expect anything beyond your expectations. If location is your number one priority, choose this hotel. If comfort and value-for-money are priorities, then there are better alternatives.

value of money
We have stayed 4 nights in this hotel. We were with 2 couples. The only advantage is the location but the quality is very low compared to the price we paid, more than 100 euro per night. The room was without breakfast, the beds were stonehard. When we complained about the mattrasses they tried to solve it with a blanket...

Good location
Good location
The only thing the best is location great, walking distance to Senado Square, Grand lisboa, St Paul etc, The hotel staff are not very helpful. The suite room furniture was old and dusty.
