Good location - very near Senado Square, close to bus stops, restaurants and shops are in walking distance. Reasonable room rate. Night shift lady staff not so friendly, not so helpful either. Morning shift staff are much better. If you are tourist and need a place to stay with reasonable room rate. Metropole is what you look for. The location is close to shopping center, restaurants, bus stops, and places of interest around Senado Square in walking distance. Though the room is very small, but since you will not spend much time in the hotel, I think it is acceptable. I didn't try other hotel facilities such as restaurant, but I saw many people eat there so I guess it is ok. There is a shuttle bus to and from Macau Ferry Terminal which is convenient. The only weak point I can find is that the hotel staff, specially night shift, isn't friendly and helpful as I thought it should be.
Restaurant Tip : If you go to Senado Square, try cold milk pudding at Leitaria / Son.

Hotel need to be refurbished. Ideal location at the heart of the city near the main tourist attractions sites and churches. Nearby tourist centre makes it easy for us to obtain directions. Good shopping is available within walking distance and plenty of good local food. There are also plenty of convenient stores which makes it easy to obtain the necessities. Hotel is also close to the bus stop making shuttling to different part of Macau like Taipa convenient and fast. Hotel staff is friendly but some ceiling work need to be performed as there are cracks and also change of bed frame will make the hotel more presentable. Overall value for money and enjoyed the stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Must see the St Paul and St Dominic church.

Good location. only 1-2 mins from Senado Square The room was average..pretty much what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel. but the location was great. It was basically in walking distance from/to major local attractions.

Location and good comfortable and clean rooms The rooms were comfortable and clean although a little worn out. A positive welcome especially when the reception area/lobby was rather uninviting. Location wise, excellent. Customer service could be improved especialy when a guest checks out and checks in. Enquiries about guests' plans, flight, time in Macau will be most welcomed, but not acknowledged at all.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Good location, near tourist spots, casinos, restaurants and night life.

I think that it is the good point of the geographical convenience if I say the greatest advantage of this hotel put simply, a room is old.
But I am not inconvenient if I think only as for sleeping. If you woanna go to casino, you can go to risboa Hotel on foot in around 5 minutes.
and , If you are interested in the history, Leal Senado also walk in around 5 minutes.

Room is large and comfortable. no shuttle bus to and from airport and ferry terminal. I and my family include my 5 year old son can walk around the city to visit many place nearby the hotel easily. senado sqaure and the ruine of st'paul, church just 5 - 10 minute walk from hotel. There are many casino around hotel where you can see light and spring. The hotel quiet small but the room is comfortable and clean, friendly staff. There are many restaurants and shopping place around the hotel.

The hotel was situated close to Casino Lisboa and it was very convenient to use their free shuttle bus. The hotel is clean and nice but due to poor insulation in Chinese buildings it gets really cold in night during winter.

Location, location & location!!! the center of the town. a bit dark inside..lots of dust in the room, esp the lamps could improve. It's a good deal to stay with the offered price and the location is superb...if you don't care much about the cleanness, it is fine to stay!!!
Travel tip : For the one who has limited budget, shuttle bus that almost hotels in Macao provide is the best solution.

Close to senado square, one of the main attraction in Macau. Friendly staffs, clean, good value for money. Overall, a good experience to stayed here. easy to get taxi, bus stop within a minute and only a few minutes walking to senado square. Walking distance also to ruins of St. Paul & the fortress.
Travel tip : Taxi drivers in Macau speak poor English and they don't know the hotel name in English. What I did was to torn off a picture of the hotel from tourist guide (easily find everywhere) where there was a Chinese and English character written on it.

Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Nearby attraction places. Room is much smaller than expected. Metropole Hotel is conveniently located at the central of the attraction area such as the Senado Square (150m) and Grand Lisboa (350m) from hotel. We can easily get food from a few restaurants that is in walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is clean and comfortable with their helpful staff. Definitely will be back to this hotel the next time we visit Macao.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : To the left of the hotel is the famous Senado Square and towards St Paul's ruin and to the right is the huge Grand Lisboa casino.

location, cleanliness, room amenities are good for the price of the room, shuttle bus service. This is a good hotel with shuttle bus service to and from the HK-Macau ferry port where you can hop on other bus to the hotel in Cotai strip e.g. Venetian.

Central location, clean and comfortable room! Walking distance to the banks, where I can exchange currency, and supermarket.
The rest of the places of interests are within walking distance too! Walked to St Pual and the town. Even provide shuttle service to the ferry terminal. This hotel is worth staying!

Location of this hotel is so great, easy way to access Senado and all Casinos. Room is clean with big bathroom. No complimentary water as it should. We got only 2 nites in macau so we prefer the location that optimize our travel time and this hotel is the best choice, very close to Senado Square, walkable distance to all main sightseeing and of course close to casinos and bus station. Room size is a bit small when add the extra bed. Hotel also have shuttle service between ferry terminal but they have not informed so that we had to pay for cab so if you are going by ferry - do not waste money with taxi, just looking for a hotel shuttle.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Location is the first criteria as it'll save time for your travel.
