Wonderful Holiday @ Metropole Hotel
Great location, closed to shopping area, just a short walk to Senado Square
9.3
This hotel is located in an excellent area, closed to Senado Square and shopping area. We can also walk to Casino Lisbua from the hotel. The staff was helpful and provided me and my friends two connecting rooms. The bedroom is big and comfortable. Restroom is big and clean. I would probably stay at this hotel again.

Great location near town center, large modern room

Great hotel. Located between the town center and the Lisboa casinos. 5 minutes walk to Senado Square, GPO, New Yaohan department store and 9 minutes to Lisboa casino. The hotel even allowed me to check in early.

Comfy and Convinient
spacious rooms and clean bath rooms, tour guide maps/brochures/pamplets avaible at lobby. within short walking distance to main attractions. Opposite shopping complex (new yaohan).
6.7
The rooms we had were spacious but the distilled driking water is NOT free. We travelled in a group and were glad that we were placed in the same floor. The check-in with Agoda's Booking Print Out was fast and it took me just about 5 minutes.
Maps/Brochures/pampletes for travellers were readily available at the lobby.
Main attractions i.e Ruins of St. Paul and major casinos were within short walking distance.
A shopping complex is located opposite the hotel.

Just ok
Near Senado square, St. Paul Ruins, restaurants, New Yaohan department store, and supermarkets.
6.3
Metropole Hotel is conveniently located to most tourist attractions. Hotel provides shuttle bus going to Macau Ferry Terminal where you can hop on to the shuttle buses of other Hotels with Casino (for free). Our stay is ok. Metropole Hotel is a value for money. Generally, you can go around Macau by foot. Don't forget to taste the Portuguese egg tarts. It's being sold in every bakery in Senado Square near St. Paul Ruins.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is a shuttle bus going to Macau Ferry terminal so you can avail the shuttle bus of other hotels for free.

good location (Metropole Hotel)
I like the location of this hotel. Very near to Senado Square. Value of money is also good. Cheap.

Overall, I recommend this hotel. Because the price is cheap, the location is very good (near Senado Square, only 5 minutes walk)and there is a free shuttle bus to take you from and to Macau ferry terminal (but please be careful, don't take a wrong bus). The room is so-so, but I liked the bathroom, clean. I surely want to stay in this hotel when I visit Macau again. If you want to go to this hotel using public transport such as taxi or even free shuttle bus, make sure that you know the chinese name of this hotel. Most of Macau people don't know Metropole hotel. They only know the chinese name of this hotel, you can find it in the map (please take the free map in the Macau ferry terminal)

Good Value
Most of the trappings of a star rated hotel and a quieter Casino if you prefer to try your luck away from the maddening crowd.
Efficient shuttle services to and from the ferry pier.
6.7
Spent 2 nights. A good low keyed hotel & casino after the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong and Macau city centre. Room was comfortable and had all the amenities you'd expect from a higher rated star hotel. Buffet breakfast was simple but had enough options to start the day decently. The dinner buffet at the main restaurant was also pretty good with choice of Japanese cuising including Sashimi & Sushi and also great fresh Oysters and other Seafood. All in all the Grand Waldo is really a good accommodation option if you want to steer clear from the more ostentatious joints in Macau.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Old Taipa area is just about 20 minutes walk away from the hotel. Interesting sights and some good restaurants abound here. One good Portuguese restaurant here is Antonio's. Check this out in the guidebook.
