Superb faultless boutique hotel excellent food

the place was flawless. we ate there on our first night and the tasting menu was so good that we ate there on each subsequent night. the mushroom soup was great as was the foie gras. for meat lovers the veal shank for two is a treat ; but it could do three or even four people! breakfast in nicely vaired withe a choice of spanish macanese or american.
the staff are very well trained and the room was just about perfect.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It's really close to the A Ma temple and only a 30 minute walk from the historic centre

For those who want to avoid the traditional 5 stars hotels with no soul. Full of charming details and perfectly located to visit the old part of the city. Fantastic stay!
Try the excellent spanish restaurant.

never stay in a fortress before,beautifully decorated with portuguese style. its is not like a ordinary 5 star hotel.!
staff are friendly they expect your arrival and check in is done inside the room.
if you like to travel with style luxury and personal touch i will highly recommend this beautiful hotel the best hotel i have ever stay in macau.

one of the few thinks have not changed in macao! knowing macao for over 30 years its nice to see some place that hasn't change so much. lovely hotel, acceptable service, away from the masses and still so closed. we worked to the city center a couple of times. i will stay next time again in the pousada de sao tiago no question about. luxury rooms, all inclusive.

Work from the Hotel to the A Ma Temple and onwards to the old city centre.

Liked the little things such as bath salts and jacuzzi lighting. Nice interior decor such as leather floors, B&O TV, complimentary beverages in the fridge.
The restaurant is excellent. The service provided is great. The setting is intimate and cozy yet you get 5-star hotel service. We had a lovely stay at this historical hotel.
The only downside of the hotel is the location. It's a little far away from everything. But the staff at the hotel will call taxis for you, so we had no trouble getting around at all.

fantastic decoration with excellent services. nice food in hotel restaurant and very western style food.
big room with steam and jazzcucci even tv in bathroom! all for free in room bar and welcome snacks and fruit.
quiet room with privacy each room and super nice lobby.
expensive rate and inconvenience location. good to go if you like quiet walk around. can talk to best portuguese restaurant in macau.

A bad start, transport has to be booked 24 hours before it's required, given the proximity of Hong Kong and the flexable ferry sailings this is restrictive. A request outside this period came up with "cannot"
THat was was the downside, once there we relaxed totally, not that the hotel is without fault, where is, but it's the nature of the place. This was a return visit so we knew about the multitude of steps, the quite view from the balcony, the high standard of the resterant.
2 minor niggles, the Wifi coverage in the room, both rooms, is poor. Also the rooms suffer from a complex lighting system with some switches hidden, my daughter had to call me to switch off her reading light.
Where the hotel excelled was is the service and help when my daughter became ill, we will be back.
