Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

big convenient rooms but a bit dated
6.7
the hotel is located in taipa across the bridge but it's still convenient as there a bus stop right in front of the hotel. taxis are also cheap and plentiful in the area.
the hotel is old and i agree with the other reviews that it's begging for renovation. but for the price, you get your money's worth - the rooms are spacious and clean with your own bathroom with an ample supply of hot and clean water. there's also a tea/coffee making facility and a refrigerator in room.
the breakfast buffet came with the room rate and there's a wide selection to choose from.
at this day and age though, the hotel is still not wifi capable and 2 cps at the lobby are really slow and outdated.

we stay in this hotel after arrive from hong kong. the hotel location not to far from ferry terminal, so we just ride the bus and take not long time to reach the hotel. The hotel look like old one compare with the surrounding in taipa. The hotel breakfast is good, we all satisfaction with it. Anyway we all feel good stay in this hotel and will come again next time

Great location, nice rooms, great views
Strategic location, comfortable rooms and terrific views

I stayed at the Regency Hotel Macau with my wife and 24 year old son. We had an enjoyable stay here. Compared to the newer properties in Macau, the hotel is understated but extremely comfortable with generous sized rooms and bathrooms. The hotel's location is a major plus offering easy access across Macau, Taipa and Coloane. The hotel offers postcard views of the large casinos and hotels across the bridge connecting Taipa and Macau. This is an arresting sight especially late at night. Housekeeping is good as might be expected in a hotel of this type. The swimming pool was under maintenance when we stayed here - which was a bit of a let down since some of the most picturesque areas of the hotel are around the pool. While the website of the hotel suggests an old worldly, gracious property, the hotel is actually a high rise with about a dozen floors. Two things that the hotel could certainly improve on are the communication abilities of their front office personnel and the quality of the food served at their complimentary buffet breakfast.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The best and most cost effective way to commute here is by bus - the hotel has bus stops available right in front of it - pick up information from the online travel forums regarding the bus routes or get the hotel staff to help. Walking tours of Macau are absolutely the best way of seeing the place.

Not what was advertised!
Lobby and restaurant were nice.
4.7
Room had a strong moldy smell that made it difficult to breathe. We should have requested another room but our friend's room was identical so I suspect we wouldn't have had any luck. I wouldn't recommend this hotel until they've done a major overhaul to the rooms.

Great location but very old hotel
Smoking is prohibited, nice view, nice location, free bus shuttle
6.3
place is old - but the view was great. Smoking is prohibited, which is good.
food is so-so. Over the four days that we spent there, they never bothered to change the breakfast buffet menu.
Too few selections on their menu for ala carte dining.
They do not provide free coffee in the rooms. :(
I also had beef with the bathroom. Their bathroom looks icky. Could have used some sweeping and dusting. Still had garbage when we checked in. Had a bathtub but we never used it -looked dirty.
Lastly, it was a challenge talking to them in english.
But overall, it was a cheap stay - stay here if you plan to go out sight seeing for most of the time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
free bus shuttle is till 8pm only. so if you plan to stay later, use the public transport.
be very familiar with the bus routes so you save money. we got lost while rushing to catch our flight back home and the cab driver just scammed us (dropped us very far from the hotel and billed us more than 4x the usual cab fare).

Excellent service from the helpful staff who recommended us to go on a day tour of Macau. They realy went the extra mile to answer our questions and queries. Breakfast was well spread and full of choices. Would be good though if this hotel had a bar and sauna facilities.
