Old Resort Hotel

the hotel is in a quiet side of taipa. the room is average but clean. the hotel pool is not operational because of the cold weather. breakfast is average not many choices for western fare like pancakes and bacon. the shuttle bus to the city is not as frequent as galaxy hotel. the room rate is average considering that you cannot classify it as 5 star. we arrived late in the evening so we were not able to see what is around the hotel. overall i would rate my stay as neither good nor bad.

Awesome Hotel!

We enjoyed the place as we have the best of the mountain views and the sea breeze. It is also very convenient to go anywhere from regency to any place between macau and taipa. The facilities is quite good and offers the best of everything. We will certainly book in regency hotel the next time we visit macau

I have a wonderful 2 night stays in the hotel..the hotel was big, clean and cozy! Nice Victoria kind of style! Will definetly go back to that hotel if visited Macao again!

An average hotel which is in close proximity to a number of casinos so you can head out to win some money at any time of the day.
The breakfast is pretty good but watch out for the Chinese tourists who will snap up the food (especially the fruit) as soon as it's served.
Shopping is generally bad in Macau and food prices are steep. Take note though that the casinos accept only Hong Kong dollars, so don't bother getting too much of Macau's local currency.

Not too happy with the room

the rooms are old and a little smelly and worst part, the bed are hard. some people might like that, but not for me. they tried to accommodate us by moving to another room, but not too much difference. the price is not too bad, cheaper than most and we only stayed there to sleep and eat breakfast. most of the time we are out enjoying macau.
internet service...poor. no wifi. only 2 units available in the lobby.
if you ask me, i will not stay there again. for a little more money, you could get better.

Really affordable and spacious rooms
Close to all the best casinos in Macau like The Venetian Macao and The Galaxy Macau

I imagined the rooms to be unkempt and smelly based on the reviews I've read but when my friend and I got to the hotel, the rooms were okay plus the breakfast served was quite nice. I didn't appreciate that we were billeted in a room at the far end of the hallway.. But since we were only there for a night, it didn't really matter.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Galaxy Macau is the best casino to visit.

our stayed with regency was great. clean rooms, polite staff and the shuttle service to get around the city is so convinient! and to top it all, they upgrade our room the moment we checked in. we will definitely stays in this hotel the next time we go back to macau.
Travel tip:
The shuttle will bring you to the shopping place downtown.

Dont go by the name - resort. This place is a typical old hotel, just polished. It has no resort facilities and only rooms. the restaurant is poor in terms of food quality.
We were extremely unsatistied by the hotel look and staff and our entire experience there. Other hotels in Taipa are far better. transportation from this hotel is a big problem, you have to take taxi. the shuttle service is poorest here. even poor people can stay at better places than this.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Avoid this hotel. Take Sintra
