Nice & Relaxed Hotel

it is one of the non flashy old hotels in macau- definitely apt for the budget traveller. rooms are big, spacious and well lit. the amenities in the bath room truly makes it feel like an old world 5 star hotel (the kind's that our parents would get hosted during business trips). the rugs and the halls do smell and feel of decay but that all goes away when you see their pool and activity center. very child friendly pool with a life guard on duty. a swim in the night is worth its weight in gold.
bfast buffet is also quite healthy and spread out- they have taken into account the tastes of both east and west and is very appealing. they also have a dim sum menu from 11-3pm and its quite delectable.
overall we had a nice experience
Hotel Feature Tip:
You might want to book it early - this hotel is cheap but offers great 3Star service - so it tends to be full. It is also just a $20 ride from the Strip (Venetian, et al)- so quite convenient.

Fantastic hotel, breakfast and swimming pool!

Everything good, except wi-fi at a day expensive! Love the king-size bed and size of room!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Free shuttle bus to many places in Macau. Plus you can also use any casino free shuttle buses too.

it is an old but quite luxurious hotel in Macau (from my understanding it used to be grand hyatt) so the room is quite cute .... but facilities such as lifts, doors are plenty old.... but with reasonable price.
It is very hard to find a taxi tho

hotel is a bit old. the room is big and has great view of the macau's bridge. pool and garden were nice. computers with internet are available at the lobby, but connection is very slow. breakfast buffet has great selection.

very limited shuttle service in Taipa.
breakfast selection is not that good. It's the same food everyday (stayed there for 2 nights)

take a taxi cab to the Venetian where you can take their free shuttle service to Sands, City of Dreams, Galaxy, etc.

Most of the communal/public areas were modern and nice, with good facilities. The pool and spa area is very nice as well. The rooms, however, were a bit dated in their design and facilities, and definitely could use an upgrade. Good overall price for the area, though.

Not so great 5 Star Hotel

A bit disappointed for a 5 star hotel. It is over-rated. Except for the gym and pool, I think it is more a 3.5 star hotel. Mattress was hard and everything in the room is manual. Had to switch off the lights one by one! But for the value, it is worth it with free breakfast thrown in.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Near to the Taipa Island (where all the new casinos are located). just a short trip by cab
