The hotel is really old and worn out. There was smell throughout the corridor.
The hotel is not particularly cheap compared to other hotels but the quality and the atmosphere is really bad. The hotel is so old and worn out. The rating given to this hotel is not accurate at all. It is in a 3 star category in my opinion. Bedsheets smell bad and there is no renovation of anything in the hotel. I will never go and stay in that hotel again and I highly discourage people to go there as there are so many better hotels with the same price.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. The health spa and swimming pool were especially good, as well as was the garden areas for strolling around. Happily, no casino!!
Sometimes taxis were difficult to get due to the road layout in front of the hotel grounds.
I had stayed in this property some 15 years ago when it was managed by Hyatt and so it was partly a home-coming. The spaciousness and quiet of the whole hotel make it a 'des-res' and I will certainly go back as often as I can, but this will not be too frequent as I now live in the UK.

The complimentary breakfast is nice, its location is not far from downtown, and guests can take advantage of the nearby Greek Mythology hotel to travel to other places. Yet superior hotel room is not large and I think the swimming pool is not quite clean. The playground for kids has not been cleaned up for ages...

Nice quiet swimming pool, free hotel shuttle to Macau, friendly staff, comfortable bed
could use new paint job in rooms and maybe a coffee maker, there was a hot pot and 1 bag of tea and 1 bag of instant coffee but the cups looked questionable...not sure if i would drink out of it. Room was a little musty.
I was a little hesitant when i walked in but the helpful friendly staff was very accommodating. They upgraded me to a superior suite with a nice view. Hotel shuttle made access over to Old Macau very easy. The pool is very quiet and nice. Walking to Venetian is quite far but taxis are fairly inexpensive. Nothing too exceptional at this hotel. I only use hotel to sleep in at night otherwise i'm out sightseeing. But if you're one of those travelers who like hanging out in hotels for cocktails, this is not the place!
Hotel Feature Tip : Take the shuttle over the bridge to The New Lisboa . You'll have to be willing to walk to see Old Macau. I found most people there don't really recommend walking because of the heat but places are accessible. Get out and explore things on foot because you'll miss alot if you taxi everywhere. I did notice there was never anyone in the salon. Hotel is very quiet...not much traffic in and out of lobby at all.

i like the interior design, classical, calm, clean and beauty. good value for price.
a bit far from downtown, but macau is small, by taxi u could go everywhere.
hotel staff could be more professional tho....a main cons.
i will stay here again, if u go sightseeing, gambling, dining outside..etc, only back hotel for sleep sound at night and delicious breakfast, this is great choice, we enjoy our stay here much.

Good location. Nice swimming pool.
Only one shuttle bus an hour to the ferry pier.
My wife and I booked in for three nights(April 10 - April 13) in Room 833. In the middle of the first night, there was a flood in the bathroom. The water leaked into the bedroom and soaked the carpet. When I asked for another room the next morning, my wife and I were given Room 837, a suite. This was a pleasant surprise, until we discovered that the phone was faulty: evry time the phone was put down, it continued to ring, even though no one was calling us. So we had to leave it off the hook.
Breakfasts are not what they used to be when the hotel was the Hyatt Regency. Not nearly the same number of choices, and no eggs fried to order.
On my next trip to Macau, I shall stay at another hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Convenient for quite a few excellent, Portuguese restaurants, such Santos.

Large reception area, porters, helpful staff, toiletries.
No shuttle to airport.
Had to wait long for a taxi.
Taxi drivers still used to old name "Hyatt".
It's not an expensive 5 star hotel and the complimentary buffet breakfast is a plus. It is near big casinos like Crown and Greek Mythology but far from the Venetian. Hotel staff are very helpful and the bathroom toiletries are elegantly packaged. The room is clean and spacious.
Nightlife Tip : The hotel is just across Greek Mythology, which has a free nightly shows, Las Vegas style and next to Crown Casino.

Can be reached in 10 min from Macau Airport and Ferry terminal with taxi.
The best days have gone: Carpets are old and look old. The breakfast buffet - though included - is disappointing.
The best days of the hotel are over: The hotel used to be of a very good standard but would require now a major renovation to keep up with its past. Compared with international standards, I would rate the hotel with 3 stars. Location is not top either but the hotel is well reachable with taxi. The bus service to town is of a very low frequency compared to other hotels.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Fisherman's wharf: a 10 min taxi drive from the hotel

Relatively good value for money but don't expect to get the same quality and service as in other four and five-star hotels (Western standards).
