Good hotel service, room size decent, not very big.
limited shuttle from and to ferry, which is not very convenient, took us ~30 mins to get a taxi to hotel.

the room itself is good, old hotel, but very clean.
the location is good, walking distance to the city center of old macau.
downside is that it is an bit hard to get a cab around that area, and shuttle service to ferry only runs per hour.

Cosy Good Value Hotel
Convenient Location and Clean Room
8
Rio has always been the hotel I will stay when I go to Macau. Given its good location, clean room and good service, I consider Rio value for money. Not to mention, breakfast is included in the price. The only negative is that there is no free wifi and the internet in the room is chargeable.
Restaurant Tip:
There are some good Portuguese restaurants on the opposite side of the hotel which is worth a try.

Boutique Hotel with Good service
8
if you like a hotel that is not too noisy, then you will like rio. it is a boutique hotel which is centrally located. while the facade might not look very modern, the room is however spacious and clean. it comes with breakfast which is ok. it is walking distance to most of the casinos in down town macau. for the price, i think this hotel is value for money.

rio is situated in a very convenient location. it is walking distance to most of the major casino (lisboa, galaxy, mgm & wynn). i especially like the room which is clean and spacious. breakfast at the hotel is not great but decent. as the price is inclusive of breakfast, i would consider it value for money as not many hotel in macau include breakfast.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you want to go to Gongbei border, you can catch a free shuttle from Starworld Hotel which is a short walk from Rio.

It was my first stay in this hotel. Location is good, but I expected the casino have roulette game, but there are no roulette table. And also bad impression for me was hotel staff were not cooperative when the front was congested due to many checkout people. they did not open more front desk although there were a few staffs available there...
