Nice and well located hotel in Macau. The staff is polite and efficient. The staff is also speaking english well, which is not so common in Macau ! Not very far by foot from Macau historic centre, hotel also offer free shuttle service to ferry pier and to main casino and mall.
To be noticed, regarding the visa card and bank account you have, it will not be possible for the hotel to make a "money reservation" as guarantee... The money will be taken on your account ... If you have prepaid the room, it is possible to make a cash guarantee deposit.

We had a good experience with this hotel. For the money, it seemed a better value than some of the other resorts/casinos in Macau. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean, and breakfast was adequate. Would recommend the premier room as it comes with free flow of drinks and appetizers in the lobby.
The hotel is located about a 15 min walk away from the main city and Grand Lisboa / MGM area. It is near the foot of the Guia Lighthouse and is also walking distance to the Macau Museum. There is also a shuttle bus about every half hour down to the city.

Bad reception assistance upon arrival

We reached hotel at 3am n told staff filipino that we have requrst for the early check in request thru our booking for 12noon next door so that we can leave oyr luggage n roam around the casino.
But staff kept asking us to refer back n demand we book another room.
We are disappointed with no help or assistance especially when we are so tired with our arrival.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Shuttle svc to tapai shld provide more trip instead of just 11am n 5.30 am one way trip

ok spot, ok hotel. Just Ok, nothing special. I would recommend it as a last minute booking if you are running out of ideas but if I had the opportunity I would have booked elsewhere.
All in all I give a B-. I would not personally go back there

My room dont hv a proper desk, everything was kept inside drawer. Aircond not cold, and dont hv a fridge in my room. I wonder is this a 5 star hotel? Far from town, outside hotel hv a small 7-11...etc wouldnt come bck to this hotel next time.

like some other reviews have mentioned, the hotel does not measure up to the 5-star level but still clean and decent room. long line for check-in. about 15 mins walk to the central tourist area. it's not too far but not too close either. all in all, value for money. if you are looking for a clean room at a decent price, this is a reasonable choice.

Awesome Hotel with a small lobby

The lobby is too small for the hotel. Only a handful of people can sit down on the couches. We were a group of 20 and chances were we would sit by the lounge that requires us to purchase a drink so we can sit down.
The shuttle service of Royal Hotel is few and there is only 2 timeslots to go to the tourist areas.
Above all, i would recommend this Hotel. The price is right. There is a nearby 7-11 should you crave for food at night or early morning. The hotel rooms are good!
Hotel Feature Tip:
From the ferry terminal, Royal Hotel provides a shuttle service every 15-20 minutes. Wait for it and they do not have parking slot similar to Venetian or galaxy; look around and you'll see the coaster of Royal Macau.
