good and clean hotel with good service

booked for 3 adults in a room from agoda, got 2 single bed + 1 extra bed. below are my experience :
plus point:
hotel staff:
- receptionist: speaks english, deposit using credit card, fast check-in and check-out process (they also tear my credit card slip when checked-out to ensure no additional charging from hotel)
- porter: most of them filipinos, fluent english, very helpful. they answer questions, explain which interesting object to visit, how to get there, find taxi etc. they also put effort to find difficult information (by asking to other hotel staffs & manager, make a call to china travel service etc. when nobody sure whether i can get visa on arrival in shekou ferry terminal-shenzhen). two thumbs up for rafael & nap for their excellent services.
- housekeeper: responsive to request (for example: come immediately when tv in my room problem, and after that she bring technician to fix it). can’t speak english, but trying hard to communicate.
- most of staff are polite
room
- no smell, clean rooms, clean sheets & towel, they change it everyday. air-con & all equipments (tv, refrigerator, safe deposit box, hair dryer, etc) & lights work well.
- nice & clean bath room, also amenities. good shower water pressure
location
- 10-12 minutes walk to senado square and shopping, 50 meter to bus stop. around hotel i found several resto, 711 outlet, 3 minute walk to bank. easy to get taxi.
others
- free regular shuttle bus to venetian and other casino hotels
- lobby clean, not crowded
- lift good
minus point:
- shorter extra bed (about 185 cm length)
overall :
although it is not a big hotel (compare to other 5 star hotel in macau) but overall very good hotel (room, location, staff ) especially in price performance. i have no complain, will recommend to friends.

Friendly Hotel in Good Location

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Royal Hotel. Although slightly off the beaten track the Royal still within walking distance of downtown Macau. The stay starts with a very quick and efficient reception that remembers regular customers. The rooms are very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Food is always well prepared and offers a nice selection of east and west cuisine. The Royal hotel will always be on my search list.

Classy hotel in the older parts of Macau

The Royal Macau is located on Macau Island, so a bit away from the casinos on Cotai Strip but closer to Macau's cultural sights. It was very clean and nice, though our view was on a building that was under construction. You can easily reach most sights (Fortaleza do Monte or Jardim Lou Lim Loc) by foot and also the Grand Lisboa is only a short walk away. The hotel offers a swimming pool, which was perfectly refreshing after the cultural sightseeing and before hitting the casinos. Moreover, the hotel also offers a shuttle bus from the ferry.

Swimming Pool closed too early at night.
The restaurant nearby, just at the corner outside the hotel provides better services than the hotel staff both at reception desk and housekeeper.
Easy to get a Taxi at the hotel entrance.

Decent neighborhood 10 mins away from the actions

mgm, wynn, grand libosa & the church ruin (forgot the name) are all within 15 mins walk. got a small casino in the hotel but never had a chance to visit. also a small indoor poor -- really small but quite nice. a good choice if you are not planning to spend a lot.

Quiet hotel, cheaper in cost

If you are looking for a hotel in Macau, which does not have casino surrounding, this is a choice for you. The hotel is located in a quiet area, which is 15mins walking distance from the central area. The room are quite comfortable, although it is not a new hotel but everything is alright.
