Great stay at reasonable price
New, clean, well organized.

3 of us stayed in a room with an extra bed. It was not small at all and pretty comfortable. The location is slightly further away from the main casinos like Grand Lisboa (15 min walk), but the shuttle bus is readily available every half hour. We got a great deal from Agoda so we feel that its really a good price for what we are getting.

the hotel is nicely situated, walking distance to st.paul ruins and senado square, around 15mins. free shuttle to and from the ferry terminal, free shuttle also to venetian and other spots e.g macau tower. the hotel has friendly staff, free wifi at the lobby. cons: no wifi at your room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
10-15mins walking distance to shops/senado square. and st paul ruins, if you plan to go to st paul and get the best photo shots, try to get there in the morning to avoid the busy crowds/tour groups.

Great hotel and good locations
Hotel is nearby to attractions, about 15muns walk to old St Paul ruins and Hotel Lisboa.

Locatoon is good, about 15 mins to Hotel Lisboa if walking southwards, or 15 mins east to Old St Paul ruins (da San ba), Senator Sq, etc. Guia lighthouse is even nearer too. Standard Room is big and clean, with Aigner shampoo and bath gel. Room has mini fridge, bath robes, white cotton slippers, complimentary mineral water bottles, free wifi too.

It's Okay...No Perks!
The helpful service of the concierge/bell staff. The Front Office Supervisor was also helpful and sensible in giving us a solution to an issue.

In the lobby lounge, the management through its service staff were rigidly enforcing a ridiculous ruling: You buy some pastries from their store and when you eat them at their lobby lounge, the price is higher. They don't even allow you to drink the bottled water you had with you. No wonder the lounge is empty.

Excellent hotel in a great part of Macau

We were more than a little surprised at how nice the Royal is. The outside is quite plain, but once you step inside you know you're in a quality hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. If I'm in Macau again, I'll be staying there for sure.

2nd time at this hotel, excellent overall

Very happy with our stay, staff very helpful, travelling as a family with young childre, the hotel arranged connecting rooms which was nice. Rooms very clean and in good condition, comfortable beds. Nothing to fault, parents and children all liked the hotel very much.
This would be my first choice for hotel next time in Macau. Location is in the older city area, which I prefer. Walking distance to Senado square, and other sights.

Excellent Hotel but worst accessible transport to

Transport from Hotel to everywhere is hard to manage, taxi or bus. Not like other hotels with free transport network to pier, airport, city centre, tourist must-go point.
Wifi is constrainted to lobby and cafe and not as advertised as in every rooms free.

Been back at this hotel for a couple of times for business. Always pick this hotel in Macau for a short stay due to the price and location.
Shrot stroll to a lot of places and relatively quiet compaired to the other hotels with a large casino.
The pool is also a plus!

although the location is not near any night life, but it is near 24hrs shop.
the room is good and big, the bathroom too. it is really a good hotel. they provide free shuttle to go to most interesting place. the staffs are so nice too
the wifi is only in lobby, but you can use lan cable for internet in your room.
they also provide electricity plug for you

lovely hotel and there is value for your money

overall this is a simple but clean hotel. if you are on a budget and would like to find a good clean hotel, this is it. there are shuttles through out the day so you can choose to go hotel hopping after settling in.
Nightlife Tip:
you should definitely go to cotai. there is a shuttle at the hotel going to venetia where there are plenty of activities
