Good hotel in central location

although the hotel sits in an area where there are no big casinos around (therefore, coming from the ferry can result in a long wait for the shuttle bus), the fact that is close to the main attractions of the city makes it ideal for a stay. being out of the main casinos area also means that there is less of a crowd around.

Nice place in the older part of Macau

this hotel in the older part of macau is a little walk away from the casino's in this area. but they do provide a shuttle service. the hotel is in good condition and the staff is friendly and professional. there is definitely more to see in this part of macau. although most people do come here for the casino's. i preferred staying here over cotai.

The Wynn in this part of Macau is a must see casino.

The hotel is ok, there are free shuttle bus services. at the beginning the staff gave us a room overlooking some dark alley, it was humid without light, and smelled a little strange. it was only with request they gave us a room in the opposite that is sun-lit, that was much better.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
take the free shuttle from the port. there are also other free shuttle, request the timetable from the front desk.

Royal hotel is at a good location within walking distance to Macau city area. However it is located on top of a hill and it will require some effort to climb up the hill when returning to the hotel by foot. The hotel does provide free shuttle to different parts of Macau, eg. Macau tower, Venetian etc. It also has a swimmming pool and gym.

Location is good and easy to have meeting, price is attractive.
But the check-in service is very slow, wait for long time also hotel staff is not so nice to business person. Hotel must improve. Hotel is 5 stars but decoration, interior, facilities are not.

hotel is clean and comfortable. just the location a bit far from the sightseeing and tourist attraction. need to walk a little but if you are in good health why not?

only real 5 star for under $ in macau

very happy to have found hotel royal. exemplary in every way. the best hotel in macau for the price, and so close to the casinos but far enough away to be quiet.
