nice and clean hotel but the location is quite not
like the service, very helpful
7.3
the room is nice but the shower is not that strong, staff within the hotel is quite helpful. need to wait a longer period for shuttle bus. there are small restaurants and 7-11 nearby, also drug store and bakery, quite nice.
there are also different routes for you to pick for buses, traffic options are quite good there too.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
walk further has place to play sports

Location is okay but very small rooms
Location in Shinjuku and a tub fit in the bathroom
6.3
The hotel rooms were very small beyond cozy. It certainly was the very basics. Washroom has a bathtub (which small people would be able to fit in)
Wifi only in lobby (And maybe the 2nd floor) but I was on the top floor.
The room seems it was meant for a businessmen or solo travelers.
The hotel is divided into two sides; the one side I believe has regular rooms which are more spacious for more money.
The other side is with the smaller rooms and I found the staff to have difficulty communicating in English. The large room side with the main lobby were able to communicate better.

Friendly and very helpful staff
comfortable room, friendly staff and service standatd was good for me.
6.7
Overall it was a comfortable stay for me. I was initially assigned a room facing a construction site, upon request to change a room, the staff readily swap me to another room with a more decent view. The staff was very helpful in providing info on places of interest and best way to get to the destinations.

The Royal Hotel is in the middle of Macau. The hotel is comfortable and the hotel room view is the widest in Macau. The hotel also provides scheduled shuttle bus to Macau Ferry Pier and other famous shopping centers in Macau. You may try the local Cantonese style restaurant next to the hotel for dining.

Decent Hotel at Quiet but Convenient Location
6.7
if you want to stay away from the noisy las vagas style hotel area, this hotel could provide you with the alternative. it's at a location quiet yet close to the main streets where wynn, lisbao are. it's about 5, 10 mins by car. the hotel provides shuttle bus service which runs regularly so quite convenient.
it's also one of the "rare" hotels in macau that doesn't have a big casino so for those who want to be away from all the noises and gamblers, you may want to give it a try.
the room is decent and clean. price is not too cheap though - for a double room without breakfast.

what a wonderful moment
service good, the room was nice and clean

i was planning a trip to macau with my younger child who is 3, what i most consider is the cleaningness. the most amazing me was the room was very clean and tidy, even the hotel already established for more than 30 years. the price is excellent among macau with that high standard service and room.

stayed at hotel royal for 2 night. note that the hotel only allows checkin after 3pm and even then they were late. also, checkout is strictly at 12 noon.
location
the hotel is out of the way and no where near to the main casino strip, airport or the other attractions. however, there is a 7 eleven next door and a little hk style tea house. cab rides to the airport and venetian is around hkd 50 and take about 10-15 minutes. the ruins of st paul is a walkable 20 mins away but lots of up and stairs and slopes.
rooms
the hotel room itself is decent, not very clean though. the bathtub still had hair in it when we arrive! but overall it is acceptable. but definitely not 5 stars as advertised. the walls are extremely thin, i could hear my friends next door coughing and sneezing.
service
the service is reasonable. they will push you to take their packages for tourist attractions (i'm pretty sure they get an incentive). we left our jackets in the room after we checked out. they were kind enough to pack it up for us to pick up when we called them.
food
did not consume any of the food in the hotel. but as mentioned earlier, there is a typical hk style tea house next door (at the corner next to 7 eleven). they open all day and serve decent food for a much better price than the hotel.
overall for the amount we paid (significantly cheaper than the big casino hotels) it is not a bad stay.
