well recommend & worth the money to stay. room was comfortable, nice & big. the hotel staff were friendly & helpful. booked 2 rooms & was given a joining room which is so much convenient for us that travelled with family & kid.

had a great time in macau and was happy i booked and chose this hotel. hesitant first bec of location since we have a senior citizen in tow but it was ok over-all. the staff were always attentive. i like the way they can feel when someone is just standing in the lobby and they will come to you and ask what they can do to assist or help or what you want or need...this is very highly appreciated. nice that they have outlet adaptor in the room and lan cable.
only one draw back was the breakfast. the menu was the same all through the 4days we were there. could have been better if they change everyday then just rotate the menus. another was that there were not many eateries around the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
booking city and other tours is ok with the hotel as rate is ok, one can even request for preferences like nationality of driver etc...(if they are available).

amazing service!
we stayed only one night but were very surprised at the standard of the service - smiles all around and all needs were quickly met.

it has been quite a while since i last stayed in macau. my recent experience has been in hotels in china that claim to be 5 stars, so perhaps my judgement is clouded, but i've never been anywhere with a more helpful and pleasant staff.
and another memorable feature - the comfortable bed and pillows!

Comfortable hotel with nice location

i stay in this hotel to take a short vocation with my family. this hotel is nice but quiet busy. we wish to check out late on the next day but they refused. the location is a little bite away from the busy street. therefore, it was quite. if you wish to go into the town center. it just 10 minutes walking distance.

royal hotel is located close to major attractions and shopping areas. they also offer free shuttle buses from the airport and to major attractions such as the venetian although registration is required. very friendly staff, we had problems logging onto the internet and front desk immediately sent someone to take care of this. being an older hotel we found our room dusty and this caused some allergic reactions. if you are looking for a budget stay and do not care for fancy amenities then this is the hotel for you.

The Hotel Royal is a favourite for us when staying in Macau. One the rate is very competitive in comparison to others. You get a clean and spacious room. Senado Square is within 10-15 minutes walk, as is the Lighthouse and the main strip of casino i.e. Wynn, MGM, Lisboa etc. But why walk when you can taxi everywhere cheaply right? There's also a 7-11 store next door and a regular shuttle bus service that takes you to and from the Ferry Terminal and other casinos. Staff are always helpful, especially the Filipinos. Really easy to communicate. Overall, I enjoy staying here and will definite stay again.

Clean hotel in good location, shuttle bus services every half hour allows for easy access to all areas of macau via transit in macau ferry terminal.
Nice decent sized rooms. Good breakfast in the restaurant with a fairly wide selection of breakfast foods.
The hotel has great value for money, I would definitely recommend it to others! Will be back very soon.

spent the wknd in macau and loved this hotel.its really close to st. pauls (walkable). yes the room was a little bit small but it had everything that you needed so having that extra room space would have just been a bonus. was clean, newly renovated and most importantly, the rooms didnt stink of smoke. i have stayed in other big hotels in macau before where there is a casino attached to it and i couldnt stand it. the stench of cigarettes was horrible. the only down point would be the transportation. there is a shuttle that takes you to some hotels and the ferry terminal but they are not that frequent. it comes every 30mins and if you didnt want to wait for that, it was really difficult to get a taxi. but that wont stop us from staying there again. definietly found the place to stay for any future trips.
